NEW ORLEANS — Meet the other тιԍнт end playing in Super Bowl 2025 Sunday at the Superdome. 

Philadelphia’s Dallas Goedert is quite a bit more low profile than his Kansas City counterpart, Travis Kelce. 

Goedert, for starters, isn’t dating the most recognizable woman on the planet. Taylor Swift or no Taylor Swift, though, Goedert is a top тιԍнт end who could be a factor Sunday. 

“In the grand scheme of things, he’s probably the unsung hero of our offense that people don’t talk about enough or give credit to enough,” Eagles receivers coach Aaron Moorehead said. “He’s a great blocker in the run game, and he’s great with the ball in his hands. We’re not the same team when he’s not in there.” 

Goedert missed seven games this season because of injury and still finished with 42 receptions for 496 yards and two TDs in the 10 games he played. 

“He’s been phenomenal since he’s come back from injury,” Eagles tackle Jordan Mailata said. “He’s a big, physical, fast, agile player who can do it all. Having Dallas being a part of it is major just when you’re scheming because it’s another threat that the defense has to worry about.” 

Asked about Goedert being overshadowed by Kelce, who’s become one of the biggest stars in the league, Mailata said, “Is it easy for him to be overshadowed by [Kelce]? Yeah, but I don’t think we’re worried about that. We just know the caliber player he is to our team and what he can do for our offense. That’s what we worry about, not about who’s on the opposite side.” 

Said Moorehead: “Dallas doesn’t mind that. Dallas is a small-town kid [from South Dakota]. He’s kind of a guy that’s underappreciated nationally, but certainly not amongst the people that know football.’’ 

Moorehead pointed to Goedert’s performance against the Chiefs in the Super Bowl two years ago, in which he caught six pᴀsses for 60 yards, as something to watch Sunday. 

“I think that he’ll be able to, hopefully, play another big role in the Super Bowl, just like he did last time when we played these guys,” Moorehead said. 

Goedert said he appreciates Kelce’s talents and watches him closely to pick up whatever he can for his game. 

“I watch him to see how he gets open,’’ Goedert said. “He’s probably got more freedom within the offense than anybody in the NFL, which plays to his success so well. You try to take things from everybody and different ways to get the ball. He’s a special player and I’m honored to be able to be facing him this week.’’ 

Goedert lamented his injury issues. He’s yet to play a full season without missing games. 

“Obviously, injuries are part of the game and I’ve kind of run into a bad stretch of luck with them, but I’ve got a lot of confidence in myself,’’ he said. “I think one of the better [тιԍнт ends] in the league.’’ 

The Eagles were ranked No. 2 in rushing offense this season, and Goedert’s blocking was a big part of that. 

“The O-line, they get the credit when the running back runs for a lot of yards and all, but there’s so many other people involved, especially the тιԍнт ends,’’ Eagles offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland said. “You can’t run the ball without setting the edges and the тιԍнт end does those things. 

“What I love about Dallas is not only can he catch the ball with one hand and make all these acrobatic catches and spin and run away, but he’s the hardest guy to tackle,’’ Stoutland said. “He’s an intense and elite blocker. This guy has the whole package.’’
