EXCLUSIVEPaige Spiranac gives her Chiefs-Eagles Super Bowl prediction in New Orleans... and opens up on 'dream' new job

Golf influencer Paige Spiranac is backing the Kansas City Chiefs to beat the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl.

Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and their teammates will go in search of history here in New Orleans on Sunday when they could become the first team in NFL history to three-peat.

Standing in their way, however, are the Eagles. Their form in recent months and the incredible performances of running back Saquon Barkley make them formidable opposition.

However Spiranac, who boasts four million followers on Instagram, believes the Chiefs will get it done inside the Superdome.

She told Mail Sport on Wednesday: ‘It’s funny, I was at the Super Bowl two years ago when the Chiefs played the Eagles. So I guess every time I come, they’re just gonna play each other.

‘My parents are from Pittsburgh, and it’s hard to root for the Eagles as a Pittsburgh fan.

‘Even though Saquon Barkley is so easy to root for. He seems like such a kind and humble human being.

‘But I’m also a Taylor Swift Fan, so I think that’s going to be why I’m going to back the Chiefs. It’d be cool to see history made.’

Spiranac is in New Orleans with SportsGrid. They have launched Las Paigeas – named after Spiranac – in the build up to the Super Bowl, which is a destination for fantasy gambling.

It has given the social media star a chance to hone her skills as a broadcaster and on Monday she was mingling with players on the field at the Super Bowl’s opening night.

Speaking about her new role, Spiranac added: ‘The best thing about working with SportsGrid is that I can expand outside of golf.

‘Obviously, golf is my sweet spot and what I’m most pᴀssionate about, but I love all sports.

‘So working with them has been fantastic because now I can do football and hockey and baseball, and really it’s just been a dream for me.’
