Travis Kelce is more worried about Kylie Kelce now he doesn't have to face Jason in Chiefs-Eagles Super Bowl

Travis Kelce admits he feels more at ease facing an Eagles team without his brother Jason – but the Chiefs star still has ‘mixed emotions’ given Kylie Kelce is a ‘die-hard’  fan of Philadelphia.

The Kelce clan were split down the middle at Super Bowl LVII, when Travis and Jason were on opposite teams as the Chiefs edged out the Eagles in the ‘Kelce Bowl’.

Two years on, Kansas City is eyeing a historic three-peat while Philadelphia is looking for revenge. Jason has now retired after 13 years with the Eagles.

But this Sunday’s Super Bowl still creates an awkward ‘family affair’ for Kelce. His girlfriend Taylor Swift grew up an Eagles fan but now supports the Chiefs – as does her dad, Scott.

Jason has refused to pick a side, revealing that he is ‘rooting for Philadelphia and I’m rooting for Travis Kelce’. His three daughters – Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 3 and Bennett, 1 – will wear ‘Go Uncle Trav’ shirts.

But Kylie Kelce can’t bring herself to abandon her beloved Eagles and on Wednesday in New Orleans, Travis admitted: ‘It’s going to be a little bit more comfortable for me – it was a little uncomfortable last time we played them.

‘Obviously for my family mixed emotions, and even (for) me mixed emotions… you can’t take out of the fact that my sister in law is a die-hard Birds fan.’

Kelce opened up on his own affection for the Eagles but insisted he wants victory on Sunday ‘more than ever’.

‘I feel like Lane Johnson is one of my brothers. Jordan Mailata is one of my brothers… over the course of (Jason’s) entire career, I’ve got to know just about every Eagle there has been,’ he said.

‘It’s definitely a family affair, I still feel very close to a lot of the people in that building, and I know my brother does too.’

Kelce added: ‘I love cheering for the Birds whenever I’m not in a Chiefs uniform. I remember going to all their playoff games that I could get to – even if it was racing to and from Philly overnight just to get back to KC… it’s mixed emotions.

‘I have a lot of love for the city of Philadelphia and a lot of the people in that organization, and I don’t wish any bad on them, but, man, I want this thing more than ever.’
