Taylor Swift ‘concerned’ she’ll steal Travis Kelce’s Super Bowl limelight amid Donald Trump attendance

Taylor Swift is worried that her Super Bowl attendance this weekend could deflect from Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs trying to make the history books.

The singer takes the spotlight with any public appearance and her visits to Chiefs games throughout the NFL season have been a huge spectacle as she supports Kelce trying to help the Chiefs to a Super Bowl ‘three-peat’.

She will be in New Orleans this weekend for the game against Philadelphia Eagles and so too will Donald Trump – the first sitting President to attend the Super Bowl.

Swift endorsed Kamala Harris at last November’s election, prompting Trump to say he prefers Brittany Mahomes to the singer – Patrick Mahomes’ wife publicly supported him.

But according to a report in The Sun, Swift wants Sunday to be all about Kelce and his team, especially if they make football history.

‘Taylor doesn’t want to be the center of attention,’ a source was quoted as saying. ‘She just wants to support Travis and help him focus on the game.

‘She wants Travis to enjoy his Super Bowl week experience and be at 110% for Sunday, as she is dreaming about him making Super Bowl history and reaching another dream of his, winning another Super Bowl and making a three-peat.

‘He loves that she is super supportive, and he is the same with her, as they got each other’s back whatever happens.

‘They know when to step back for each other so they can focus and be fully prepared. Their understanding of what each other needs is fantastic.’

It emerged on Tuesday that Trump is heading to New Orleans for the game as a guest of Saints owner Gayle Benson.

It is not clear who Trump will support at the game but all the signs suggest that he and Swift will be cheering for the same team.

After the Chiefs beat the Buffalo Bills in January to reach the Super Bowl, Trump sent the Super Bowl champions a message of congratulations on Truth Social.

‘Congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs . What a GREAT Team, Coach, Quarterback, and virtually everything else, including those fantastic FANS, that voted for me (MAGA!) in record numbers,’ he said.

‘Likewise, congratulations to the Buffalo Bills on a tremendous season. They will do a lot of winning long into the future!!!’

As well as Brittany Mahomes endorsing Trump, Chiefs players Harrison Butker and James Winchester also went public with their support for the Republican party before the November election.

Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie, meanwhile, was once secretly recorded calling Donald Trump’s first term as president ‘disastrous’. The Eagles turned down an invite from Trump to attend the White House after their 2018 Super Bowl triumph, too.

Earlier this season, when Trump attended New York Jets at Pittsburgh Steelers, fans tuning into NBC were outraged that he was only shown in the stands once compared the multiple times that Swift appears on TV at Chiefs games.

This year, the game is going to be shown on Fox.

Trump, who attended college football games between Alabama and Georgia, and Navy versus Army this past season, is also set to record an interview with Bret Baier which will air during pregame coverage.
