Travis Kelce’s ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole has revealed that she is a fan of his Kansas City Chiefs teammate DeAndre Hopkins ahead of the Super Bowl. 

Nicole dated Kelce for around five years before they eventually split around August 2020. Now, the Chiefs тιԍнт end is in perhaps the most high-profile relationship in the world with Taylor Swift – the couple went public in September 2023.

Nicole, 33, is forging her own path as an influencer bit still pays close attention to the NFL and with Kelce and the Chiefs standing on the brink of history this week in the Super Bowl, a quote from Kelce’s teammate caught her attention.

She shared a quote from wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins on her Instagram, where the Chiefs wide receiver reflected on his journey from a humble background to a Super Bowl player.

He wrote on X: ‘To all the kids out there living in small towns, in small houses, with single parents. To the kids who see violence, who see loss, who don’t get the resources they deserve, but who still have big dreams. Know that I was a kid in your exact shoes and this week I’m playing in the Super Bowl.

‘Don’t give up, work hard, keep believing. Where you start doesn’t determine where you end up.’

Nicole shared a powerful quote from Hopkins as he gets set for his first ever Super Bowl

Posting the quote on her Instagram story, Nicole added: ‘I’m a fan. He’s got one of the most touching and impactful stories in the game.’ 

The Chiefs traded for Hopkins midway through the current season, getting him from the Tennessee тιтans in October and filling a potentially problematic gap at wide receiver.

The тιтans had a disastrous season, missing the playoffs and ending the campaign with a 3-14 record in the AFC South that landed them the first pick of the 2025 Draft.

The 32-year-old Hopkins, meanwhile, is gearing up for his first ever Super Bowl and one that could see the Chiefs go where no team has managed before.

Victory on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles would see the Chiefs become the first team in the Super Bowl era to win three straight Super Bowl тιтles. 

‘Words can’t really describe it,’ admitted Hopkins, a three-time All-Pro, who had done just about everything in his career but play for a true championship contender. 

‘A dream come true. I’ve been in the league 12 years and I haven’t gotten this far.

‘To get traded and try to learn the playbook overnight, it was tough. But this organization and these coaches, they´re here for a reason, to get guys to be their best,’ he added.

‘I never went anywhere where they were talking about the Super Bowl.’
