Taylor Swift and her dad Scott may have grown up Philadelphia Eagles fans but the events of the past 18 months may have changed their minds. 

The pop sensation, who grew up in Pennsylvania, is no stranger to cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs and her boyfriend Travis Kelce but this week’s Super Bowl could pose a dilemma. 

The songstress and her dad’s loyalties could be called into question as Kelce revealed who the famous family will be rooting for down in New Orleans on Sunday. 

‘She’ll be all for the Chiefs this time around,’ the тιԍнт end ᴀssured members of the media, while discussing his pop icon girlfriend at Super Bowl LIX Opening Night on Monday. 

But her father could prove to be more difficult to sway. 

‘I know her father has a Philadelphia fandom as an Eagles fan,’ Kelce added. ‘[…] I’ll have to ask Scott himself, we haven’t had that conversation yet. But I think he’ll be wearing red.

Travis Kelce has revealed whether Taylor Swift’s Eagles fan dad will root for the Chiefs 

Scott Swift has frequently seen cheering on Kelce and Kansas City this season 

Scott Swift has sparked controversy in recent weeks when he’s been spotted sporting Chiefs’ red at Kelce’s games. 

Scott, a lifelong Philadelphia Eagles fan, was in Kansas City last month to support his daughter’s boyfriend Kelce in the Chiefs’ AFC Championship game against the Buffalo Bills.

Yet as he cheered on the back-to-back Super Bowl champions, the Eagles were taking on the Washington Commanders to book their place in the Big Game just over 1,000 miles away in Philly.

Scott has worn Chiefs gear to Kelce’s games for Kansas City on frequent occasions in the past 18 months, including at last year’s Super Bowl in Las Vegas.

On a 2024 episode of their New Heights podcast, Travis’ brother and Eagles legend Jason poked fun at Swift’s dad for wearing a Chiefs sweater during a game against the New England Patriots.

On that same November 15 episode, Jason made a plea to Scott to stick with the Eagles.

‘You’re gonna let this man’s devilishly good looks and relationship with your daughter sway you from a life of fandom, Scott?’ Jason joked, in reference to his younger brother. ‘This is ridiculous.’

Swift herself has previously been spotted out on the streets of New York in an Eagles sweatshirt and even references the franchise in the lyrics of her song, ‘Gold Rush,’ from her ‘Evermore’ album. 

However, there is no doubt where her loyalties lie this season as she prepares to cheer on her NFL beau at the Super Bowl for a second year running.
