Travis Kelce bizarrely declares support for the Eagles... a week before his Chiefs play them in the Super Bowl

Travis Kelce bizarrely declared his support for the Philadelphia Eagles just over a week before he plays against them in the Super Bowl.

The Kansas City Chiefs star made an appearance on the final episode of brother Jason’s late-night ESPN TV show on Friday.

During their chat, Travis claimed he still supports the Eagles because of his brother’s affiliation with the franchise.

Jason played the entirety of his NFL career in Philadelphia and won a Super Bowl with the Eagles before retiring last year.

The Kelce family will once again be divided again next week when the Chiefs take on the Eagles. It comes two years after the brothers played against each other in the Super Bowl, which was won by Travis and the Chiefs.

The Chiefs-Eagles rivalry extends to Taylor Swift’s family too now, given she was born in Pennsylvania and her dad, Scott, is an Eagles fan.

But Travis insisted there is no bad blood and he still has a soft spot for the Eagles.

He said: ‘I’m a Jason Kelce fanatic, dude. I love that guy, man.

‘I still got all of the gang green from your guys’ Super Bowls and your run in Philly. I still got some Philly pride, man.

‘I’m wishing the best for those guys, but … you know, it’s … go Birds.’

Jason was not having any of it though and quickly responded: ‘There’s absolutely no chance you mean that.’

Travis and the Chiefs are hoping to become the first team in NFL history to win three straight Super Bowls.

They made it back to the NFL’s biggest game thanks to a nail-biting win over the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship game.

When asked how this iteration of the Chiefs was different to the one who won the last two Super Bowls, Travis replied: ‘This team still feels hungry, it feels new, almost.

‘We got a lot of new players, we got a lot of different faces from the previous two Super Bowl runs. And it’s really a different idenтιтy on the offensive side for sure.

‘I think it’s just a new, like, mindset on the offensive side… it’s a new journey.’
