Three-time Super Bowl champion Rob Gronkowski has Philadelphia Eagles fans in high spirits despite not picking them to win the тιтle against the Kansas City Chiefs.
On Wednesday, the former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers star appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, where he has not been successful with his picks.
In 2023, Gronkowski picked the Eagles to win the тιтle only for the Chiefs to emerge victorious.
The same outcome was repeated when he appeared on the program and declared the San Francisco 49ers his pick before the Chiefs won their back-to-back тιтles.
With Kansas City on the verge of a three-peat, Gronkowski decided not to bet against the Chiefs come February 9. However, given his success rate, he acknowledged how Philadelphia fans should rejoice over his selection.
‘I will not go against the Chiefs for a third time in a row so the Kansas City Chiefs, 30, the Philadelphia Eagles, 26,’ he declared. ‘For all you Philly fans out there, you should be happy about that pick because I’ve been saying I’m wrong every single year.’

Later in the segment, Fallon asked Gronkowski about Patrick Mahomes joining Tom Brady in the GOAT conversation. In response, the retired тιԍнт end insisted that Mahomes is not close to catching the seven-time champion.
‘Patrick Mahomes is definitely the greatest player in the NFL, currently playing,’ Gronkowski said. ‘But in order to get in the GOAT talk, I’m gonna be a little biased ’cause I played with Tom Brady and I think that he’s the greatest player of all time and he’s proven that he is the greatest player of all time.
‘In order for Patrick Mahomes to enter that era, first off, he’s gotta win this Super Bowl coming up and get the three-peat. I believe that’s probably one of the best dynasties in the last decade.’
Gronkowski, who won all his тιтles with Brady as his quarterback, also noted how his former teammate is 2-0 against Mahomes in the postseason.
‘But we have the [best] dynasty for two decades,’ Gronkowski continued. ‘Is he better than Tom Brady? Tom Brady beat him two times in the playoffs. We beat him in the AFC Championship game and the Super Bowl.’
While Brady edged Mahomes in each postseason meeting, the pair split their regular season matchups at 3-3.
