Wild Super Bowl conspiracy theory sends NFL fans crazy on social media... and it's bad news for the Chiefs

The supposed logo for Super Bowl LX has fans crazed after conspiracy theories suggesting the color schemes for the game determine the participants became prevalent.

The theory first surfaced for Super Bowls 56 (Rams vs. Bengals) and 57 (Eagles vs. Chiefs) when fans noticed that the logos for the big games featured the team colors of the participating clubs.

In 2024, the theory was disproved when the Baltimore Ravens failed to qualify for the big game, which featured the Chiefs and the 49ers.

Earlier this week, NFL journalist Mike Payton leaked a logo for the 2026 Super Bowl, which is set for the San Francisco Bay Area. However, the symbol did not feature any of the Kansas City Chiefs’ colors.

Instead, it followed a blue and grey scheme with fans discussing the matchup.

‘This color scheme makes it look like the Lions are going 17-0,’ one user wrote.

Other users repeatedly suggested a Lions-Bills or Lions-Chargers showdown, while several pointed out the theory’s lack of validity.

‘LOL…it was fun while it lasted!’ wrote a second user.

‘This isn’t even the official logo and the lions will NEVER make a Super Bowl,’ a third claimed.

‘This isn’t the real logo HOWEVER it’s almost impossible to ignore at this point,’ a fourth chimed in.

‘Someway or another, KC still making to the SB lmao,’ a fifth added.

Despite last year’s big miss, fans still subscribe to the theory as the Super Bowl heads to New Orleans on February 9. This year’s logo features the Chiefs’ red, the Ravens’ purple, and a darker rendition of the Eagles’ midnight green.

After securing their respective conference тιтles, the Chiefs and Eagles punched their tickets to the big game with Kansas City on the verge of becoming the first team to threepeat.
