MOBILE, Ala. — There are usually six quarterbacks, split between the two teams, invited to the Senior Bowl each winter. Last year, six of them made their way to this port city on Alabama’s Gulf Coast and five of them ended up being selected in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Two of them went in the first round: Michael Penix Jr. from Washington went at No. 8 overall to the Falcons. Bo Nix from Oregon went No. 12 to the Broncos.
Three were taken on Day 3 of the draft: Spencer Rattler of South Carolina to the Saints in the fifth round, Joe Milton III from Tennessee to the Patriots in the sixth round and Michael Pratt from Tulane to the Packers in the seventh round.
Seven quarterbacks have been invited to the Senior Bowl this year, but it is possible not one of the seven will come off the board in the first round April 24, as the two top players at the position, Shedeur Sanders of Colorado and Cam Ward of Miami, will not be at this All-Star gathering. The prospects who are in attendance all have something to prove, and there is no doubt the quarterback-needy Giants will be taking a look at all of them, some more closely than others, of course.
