Bills star Dalton Kincaid breaks silence on horror drop that led the Kansas City Chiefs back to the Super Bowl

Bills star Dalton Kincaid breaks silence on horror drop that led the Kansas City Chiefs back to the Super Bowl

After what could have been a trip to his first Super Bowl dropped through his hands and to the turf, Bills тιԍнт end Dalton Kincaid has spoken out on that fourth-quarter drop that secured a Chiefs victory.

Kincaid was the target for the fourth-down heave from Josh Allen with less than two minutes left in the AFC Championship.

Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo called a rare blitz and pressured Allen into not getting his best throw off. Yet, it came down in the area of Kincaid, who dove to grab the pigskin only for it to fall through his hands.

After the fourth playoff victory for the Chiefs over the Bills in the last five seasons, Kincaid has spoken out on the play that could have bucked that trend.

‘Josh got the ball off. He was pressured, and it was hanging up there and I just wasn’t able to catch it,’ said Kincaid, per Syracuse.com.

‘Right now it obviously hurts a lot, and it’s going to linger for a while, but eventually you’ve got to move on. And hopefully you grow from this, and I believe that will be the case, but for the time being, it’s going to hurt a lot.’

The seventh playoff appearance for the Bills in the last eight season has led to zero Super Bowl appearances, with Allen’s prime ongoing as one of the best quarterbacks in the league.

There has been no team kept down due to the Chiefs’ dynasty more than the Bills, as both of their AFC Championship Game appearances over that span have both ended with losses at Arrowhead Stadium.

Kincaid has now completed his second season with the Bills, with both seasons ending in the playoffs with a close loss to Kansas City.

The Bills streak without a Super Bowl appearance continues, having last appeared in the game in 1994, the final of their four consecutive appearances, and losses, in the NFL тιтle showdown.

With Patrick Mahomes also in his prime, and the Chiefs now having represented the AFC in five of the last six Super Bowls, there does not seem to be a path forward for the Bills franchise without having to go through Kansas City again down the road.
