Bills’ Mack Hollins arrives for AFC Championship game in wild Animal Muppet outfit

Bills’ Mack Hollins arrives for AFC Championship game in wild Animal Muppet outfit

Mack Hollins’ string of bizarre arrival outfits continued Sunday before the Bills’ showdown with the Chiefs in the AFC championship game, as the wideout walked barefoot — of course — into Arrowhead Stadium donning a costume of Animal from the Muppets.

During the Bills’ divisional round win on Jan. 19, Hollins went with a beach theme — with a bucket hat and unʙuттoned Hawaiian shirt accompanying a small Bills football in his hand.

During their wild-card win against the Broncos, Hollins walked into Highmark Stadium with a Fred Flintstone look with a Bills-themed version of the costume on his head.

He pulled off plenty of other wild arrival outfits throughout the season, such as a mad scientist look and a construction worker theme.

So Sunday’s costume with the Muppet character marked the latest twist for Hollins.

The 31-year-old inked a one-year deal with the Bills in the offseason and didn’t carve out a primary role in the offense, but he still became an embraceable personality on a team one win shy of their first Super Bowl appearance since the end of the 1994 season.

At first, Hollins generated plenty of attention for his decision to constantly walk around barefoot — something he was known for before arriving in Buffalo — and for missing a team meeting in November because he decided to walk instead of taking the elevator.

But the veteran and former fourth-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft has also produced for the Bills in important spots, including a Nov. 10 win against the Colts when Hollins caught four pᴀsses for a season-high 86 yards.

He has caught two pᴀsses for 31 yards across Buffalo’s postseason games, while also contributing a crushing hit on Denver punt returner Marvin Mims Jr. in the wild-card game.

The Bills’ “everybody eats” mantra under offensive coordinator Joe Brady has trickled down through the top names in the wide receiver room — Amari Cooper, Keon Coleman, Khalil Shakir — to someone such as Hollins, as he was one of 13 different Bills players to catch a touchdown pᴀss from Josh Allen during the regular season.

They finished second in scoring with an average of 30.9 points per game and 10th in yards per game with 359.1.
