NFL legend Terry Bradshaw sparks concern with latest worrying Fox appearance on Eagles-Commanders broadcast

NFL fans are calling for Terry Bradshaw to retire from broadcasting once again after sparking concern with his latest appearance on Fox Sports.

Bradshaw, 76, was part of the Fox team for Sunday’s NFC Championship game between the Eagles and Commanders in Philadelphia, where he was joined on the panel by the likes of Rob Gronkowski, Michael Strahan and Jimmy Johnson.

Yet while previewing the game at Lincoln Financial Field, the legendary former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback left fans worried after appearing to slur his words and making a strange comment about Washington head coach Dan Quinn.

Several users were quick to point out how Bradshaw, who has suffered a number of on-air blunders in recent years, claimed that Quinn coached at Super Bowl 16 while on air – despite that game taking place when he was just 11 years old in 1982.

The bizarre comment and perceived ‘slurring’ has convinced fans once more that it is time for him to retire, urging Fox to bring his long broadcasting career to an end.

‘Watching the FOX NFL pregame show for the first time and why hasn’t Terry Bradshaw been escorted off set by force,’ one user asked on X.

Another simply posted: ‘Is he drunk again?’

A third wrote: ‘Could we please retire Terry Bradshaw from these responsibilities?’

‘I kinda feel like trotting Terry Bradshaw out there at his age in this weather borders on elder abuse,’ concluded a fourth.

Another fan asked: ‘Terry Bradshaw seems kinda tipsy or is it just me?’

While one simply commented: ‘Terry Bradshaw needs to shut it down.’

Bradshaw won four Super Bowls as a quarterback for Pittsburgh but has become more prominent as a broadcaster in 32 years with Fox.

However, he has sparked controversy with several on-air gaffes this season.

Apart from mixing up team and player names, the Louisiana native took heat for a controversial ‘Carolinas’ accent impression after Hurricane Helene and called for the Cleveland Browns to ‘put down’ struggling quarterback Deshaun Watson.

He also infamously mistook Rob Gronkowski, a full-time panelist, as a fill-in guest for Jimmy Johnson on Fox NFL Sunday.

Yet despite calls for him to hang up his suit, Bradshaw took to the air in December to make it known that he is not leaving Fox any time soon.

‘You know what man, I don’t know when that time comes when then they say to me, you know ‘happy trails’. Yeah, man, you want to say that’s never going to happen,’ he said on Dale Brisby’s Rodeo Time podcast.

‘But I guess when the Cowboys are playing the New York Giants, and you go, ‘Well uh… uh today we have uh… uh, our number one game today as you well know, it’s this huge game between… uh… you know they are really doing good right now (mimicking someone telling him ‘Dallas’ off mic) Dallas!’
