NFL fans split over Jason Kelce’s ESPN interview with Eagles coach Nick Sirianni before Commanders clash

NFL fans split over Jason Kelce's ESPN interview with Eagles coach Nick Sirianni before Commanders clash

Jason Kelce interviewed his former coach Nick Sirianni as the NFL legend enjoyed a taste of life as a roving reporter on ESPN.

The former center spent his entire NFL career in Philadelphia, helping the Eagles win Super Bowl LII during a remarkable 13 seasons.

Kelce has now become an NFL analyst in retirement and before kickoff on Sunday he joined the Eagles fans’ tailgate.

He was then tasked with picking the brains of his former head coach, Sirianni. Kelce’s busy afternoon divided fans on social media.

One supporter joked ‘ESPN is WORKING Jason Kelce today’ but others accused the network of overkill.

‘ESPN really shoving Jason Kelce down our throat,’ one fan wrote on X. ‘Jason Kelce does too much,’ added another.

‘ESPN’s NFL pregame show is atrocious. Had to turn it off. Its literally Kelce Kelce Kelce, Jason, then Travis then Jason then Travis. It’s so overkill at this point,’ said a third.

Others enjoyed Kelce’s interview with Sirianni, however. ‘What a powerful message from Nick Sirianni and Jason Kelce!’ one fan wrote.

The former center asked Sirianni about his message to the team this week, recalling his own time under the Eagles head coach.

Sirianni said the Eagles had reiterated their dogma of the entire season: ‘Mental and physical toughness, dog mentality, playing the next play, detailed and together.’

‘As you know, you don’t get to this point in the playoffs and say: OK, here’s what’s going to do now,’ Sirianni said.

They also discussed what make this Eagles group ‘special’. ‘It feels like they’re so together,’ Kelce said.

The interview came shortly after Kelce joined Eagles fans in the parking lots around Lincoln Financial Field.

Kelce led renditions of Philadelphia’s fight song ‘Fly, Eagles Fly’, chugged drinks and even took on one young fan at a beach press compeтιтion.
