Just as Donte DiVincenzo was heating up, the injury bug bites.
The Minnesota Timberwolves guard is out indefinitely due to a left big toe injury he sustained on Jan. 15 against Golden State, ESPN reported Monday.
DiVincenzo, whose foot has been placed in a boot, will receive additional opinions on treatment options in the coming days.
MRI scans revealed DiVincenzo’s injury is a “Grade 3 left great toe sprain,” and “further updates of his progress will be provided when available,” the Timberwolves said Monday in a statement.
In his first season with the Timberwolves, the Delaware native is averaging 11 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.6 ᴀssists per game.
