Travis Kelce’s teammate reveals tell-tale sign in Chiefs practice that he was on top form for the playoffs

Chiefs receiver Nikko Remigio has given fascinating behind-the-scenes insight into what makes Travis Kelce so special.

The 35-year-old set an NFL record as the Chiefs moved to within one win of yet another Super Bowl with victory over the Texans on Saturday.

The тιԍнт end amᴀssed 100 yards in a playoff game for the ninth time, moving ahead of Hall of Famer Jerry Rice.

After the game, Remigio revealed that he had spotted something a few days earlier that underscored just how dialed in Kelce was.

The receiver, just 25, was watching film from practice earlier in the day. But he didn’t even finish the session’s first play before he had to pause it and show his wife.

‘Look,’ he told her, via the Kansas City Star. ‘You see how hard Travis is running? It’s supposed to be a jog-through practice. You’re telling me this guy doesn’t want to win?’

In the clip, Kelce was only running downfield with the ball for 20 yards. But according to Remigio, ‘he set the tempo for practice this week: We’re coming out running.’

Kelce has once again had to deal with questions over his performances and his future. The тιԍнт end, who turned 35 in October, has been linked with retirement.

But he continues to deliver for Andy Reid’s side. Kelce broke new ground in his 23rd postseason game, scoring a touchdown and racking up 117 yards at Arrowhead Stadium.

The Chiefs face the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship game on Sunday, with the winner securing their spot in next month’s Super Bowl in New Orleans.
