Lions fans stomp on man’s head after he allegedly hit woman at playoff game

Video of Lions fans stomping on the head of a man who allegedly punched a woman and was wreaking havoc at Ford Field during the Divisional Round game on Saturday has become a H๏τbed on social media — and is calling attention back to similarly repulsive behavior perpetrated by an Eagles fan the week prior.

Detroiters, already distraught by the Commanders’ burgeoning upset win and the elimination of their Lions from Super Bowl contention, took exception with the antics displayed by the man — a 49ers fan, according to one cameraperson who filmed the beatdown.

In the video, which was originally posted to X by the user @zelly_bean, the man could be seen attempting to shield his face and hold on to the staircase handlebar as a number of individuals wearing Lions jerseys wail on him with feet and fists.

“Stop talking s–t to women, p—y,” someone off camera can be heard yelling as security forces worked to pick the melee apart.

A separate video, which appears to have been captured in the moments leading up to the fight, shows the man who would be knocked out pointing at and calling out Lions fans seated nearby.

“This guy was asking for it,” reads the caption written by X user @amann1616.

As that user alleged in the comments section, the man was being escorted out of Ford Field by security when he swung at a male fan and accidentally connected with a woman seated adjacent.

“Had he just walked out this never would have happened,” the user wrote.

Some social media users are ragging on the Lions fans for senseless violence while others are praising them for giving the man what they believe he was asking for.

“Moral of the story, DON’T come to Detroit and disrespect women,” reads the caption of one X account that reposted the video.

“The only moral of the story here is that the lions are really coming for Philly in terms of [being the] worst fan base in the league,” a user commented, referencing the incident that took place last week at the Philadelphia Eagles’ home stadium, Lincoln Financial Field.

In that instance, an Eagles fan was recorded spewing disgusting insults at a female Packers fan.

Video of the tirade went viral on social media, leading the Eagles fan to be identified and subsequently fired from his job at a DEI-focused management consulting firm.

At this time, police have made no arrests in connection to Saturday’s fight in Detroit, DailyMail.com reports.
