NFL fans are in awe as the Super Bowl logo conspiracy theory returns despite being debunked last year.
The theory first surfaced for Super Bowls 56 (Rams vs. Bengals) and 57 (Eagles vs. Chiefs) when fans noticed that the logos for the big games featured the team colors of the participating clubs.
In 2024, the theory was disproved when the Baltimore Ravens failed to qualify for the big game, which featured the Chiefs and the 49ers.
Despite last year’s big miss, fans continue to subscribe to the theory as the Super Bowl heads to New Orleans in February. This year’s logo features the Chiefs’ red, the Ravens’ purple, and a darker rendition of the Eagles’ midnight green.
As the divisional playoffs played out this weekend, fans took to social media with different reactions to the theory.
One user wrote ‘looks like we getting Eagles x Chiefs rematch.’

‘Ravens vs Commanders’ another predicted.
‘ITS REAL,’ a third added while a fourth said the theory ‘would be hilarious if true.’
‘Eagles and Chiefs we know. I thought this thing got debunked last year?’ wrote a fifth.
‘Eagles v Chiefs *with Ravens in the background after being cheated,’ a sixth suggested, noting the purple backdrop.
Following Sunday’s action, the Ravens have been eliminated from the picture after losing to the Buffalo Bills.
Josh Allen and Co. will take on the defending champions for the AFC crown in a rematch of last year’s divisional playoff classic.
On the other hand, the Commander upset NFC favorites Detroit Lions and will challenge the Eagles for NFC Supremacy.
Both matchups will take place on January 26, and the winners will meet in the Big Easy on February 9.
