Lamar Jackson blasts Ravens' turnovers against Bills in foul-mouthed press conference

Lamar Jackson reacted angrily to the Ravens’ turnovers in their loss to the Bills on Sunday night as he conducted a foul-mouthed press conference after the game.

Jackson threw an interception and lost a fumble in the divisional round defeat, while Mark Andrews also committed a costly fumble in the fourth quarter. The Bills did not commit a turnover in the 27-25 win.

And speaking after the loss, Jackson harshly criticized his own mistakes in the game.

‘Like I’ve been saying all season, every time we’re in situations like this, turnovers play a factor,’ Jackson told reporters. ‘Penalties play a factor. Tonight, it was turnovers. We can’t have that s***. And that’s why we lost the game.’

‘As you can see, we’re moving the ball wonderfully,’ he continued. ‘It’s just, hold onto the f***Iing ball. I’m sorry for my language, but this s*** annoying. I’m tired of this s***.’

Jackson also criticized his own first-quarter interception as a ‘BS’ play, while he shielded Andrews from criticism for his fumble and a costly drop on a late two-point conversion that would have tied the game at 27.

‘Its a team effort out there, he’s been busting his behind, he making plays happen out there on that field for us,’ he said.

‘It’s not his fault,’ he added. ‘We’re not gonna put that on Mark.’

Jackson’s interception by Buffalo’s Taylor Rapp did not lead to a Bills score, as the Baltimore defense held their opponents on the subsequent drive and forced them to punt.

However, his fumble in the second quarter did prove to be crucial, as Von Miller scooped up the ball and returned it 39 yards to Baltimore’s 24-yard-line.

Josh Allen then found the end zone on a one-yard touchdown run four plays later to give the hosts a 14-7 lead.

Later in the game, with Baltimore driving into Buffalo territory in the fourth quarter, Andrews fumbled at the hosts’ 44-yard line after making a 16-yard catch.

The Ravens had been trailing 24-19 but Buffalo added a field goal after their third takeaway of the game.

The turnovers will sting especially hard for Andrews and Jackson given that the former hadn’t lost a fumble since 2019, and the latter only threw four interceptions the entire regular season.

Jackson and his team now enter a long offseason while the Bills will face the Chiefs next weekend with a spot in the Super Bowl on the line.
