NFL legend trolls Patrick Mahomes and wife Brittany over names of their children

NFL legend Ryan Fitzpatrick poked fun at Patrick and Brittany Mahomes’ name for their children after welcoming their third child this week.

On Monday, the power couple announced the birth of their second daughter Golden Raye with a joint Instagram post.

Golden Raye joins firstborn Sterling Sky, 3, and Patrick ‘Bronze’ Mahomes, 2 as the family continues naming their offspring after metals.

The theme does not only apply to their kids, as it extends to their dogs, Steel and Silver.

Taking a playful sH๏τ at Mahomes on Twitter, Fitzpatrick, an NFL Analyst for Prime Video, pointed out how they’re ‘running out of precious metals,’ to name their children.

Retweeting a video of Andy Reid talking about Mahomes’ third child, Fitzpatrick wrote, ‘I agree with Andy’s ᴀssessment but the issue for the Mahomies isn’t having more it’s the fact that they are running out of precious metals to name their kids.’

‘I feel bad for Bronze,” he added jokingly.

Patrick was present while Brittany gave birth to Golden Raye thanks for the bye week the Chiefs received following a 15-2 season.

Despite not being on the field, the Chiefs quarterback noted how he remained attentive to the NFL while with his family.

‘It’s been cool. I mean, I’m just supporting. Brittany crushed it,’ Mahomes said on Tuesday.

‘It’s been cool to welcome another baby girl into our family and see how our other kids react to her and having baby sissy and stuff like that.

‘It’s been a lot of fun, and it was cool that football was on TV when I was in the hospital so I got to watch a little bit. Brittany was kind enough to let us watch football while she was getting ready to give birth to our second daughter.’

The Chiefs will host the Houston Texans in a divisional playoff showdown on Saturday.
