Minnesota Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy has baffled fans with a cryptic two-word message after the team’s playoff defeat by the Los Angeles Rams.
The injured McCarthy watched on from the sideline as Sam Darnold and the Vikings were dominated 27-9 in Arizona on Monday night.
McCarthy was drafted out of Michigan in the first round but suffered a season-ending knee injury in the preseason.
Darnold stepped up to fill the void and impressed for the majority of the year, leading the Vikings to a 14-3 record, and many thought he would be given a mega-money new contract in Minnesota.
But abysmal performances in the final regular season game at Detroit and against the Rams in the wildcard round have once again shifted the expectation to McCarthy starting next season.
But the 21-year-old posted a bizarre message on social media in the wake of the Rams loss.
