The public wasn’t exactly stunned to see a foul-mouthed Philadelphia Eagles fans direct a profane rant an un undeserving Green Bay Packers supporter in a viral video on Sunday.

The city is less known for ‘Brotherly Love,’ as its nickname implies, than for the vocal minority of belligerent residents who plague local sporting events.

But Sunday’s viral video, in which an Eagles fan targets a woman in a Packers hat, crossed a line for many and now there’s an online effort to help identify the culprit.

‘What it’s like going to Philly just trying to root for your team,’ Packers fan Alexander Basara captioned the video on X. ‘Unprovoked, uncalled for. Packers twitter, help me out and find this guy…. this is not okay. I hate that my [fiancée] had this happen simply cheering for her team.’

The incident took place in the upper deck of Lincoln Financial Field as the Eagles were cruising to a 22-10 win over the visiting Packers in the Wild Card round of the NFL Playoffs. A man with a grey beard and an Eagles jacket is seen harᴀssing the visiting Packers fan, who is visibly trying to ignore the man.

At one point, the Eagles fan refers to her as a ‘dumb c***,’ igniting the confrontation between Basara, who was recording the incident on his phone, and the unidentified antagonist.

‘OK, well don’t call her a dumb c***,’ Basara responded, showing impressive restraint.

‘She’s an ugly, dumb c***,’ the Eagles fan snapped back. ‘You gonna do anything?’

Basara’s fiancée did not appear to be hurt by the man’s words.

‘I’m ugly; I’m so hurt,’ she said, later telling Basara the Eagles fan ‘looks like a f***ing idiot.’

Although the unidentified man appeared to instigate everything, he felt compelled to tell Basara to ‘shut the f*** up’ and to ‘turn around, watch the game.’

The response online was overwhelming.

In total, Basara received more than 8,000 comments, many of which condemned the unidentified Eagles fan.

‘Sorry this happened man, someone should’ve reported this as verbal abuse and got him kicked out of the stadium,’ one person wrote. ‘I’ve been to 15+ games as a road fan and never seen anything this bad but only went to Philly once when I was like 10 so didn’t get harᴀssed.’

‘Respect to you, Alexander,’ another fan added. ‘If that were my wife, I’d probably be leaving in handcuffs. Switching seats with her might’ve been a smart move too, but hats off to you for keeping your cool under the circumstances.’

Basara claims the man ‘was doing this s*** all game.’

‘The family / friends just allowing it to happen are just as guilty in my eyes,’ one fan added. ‘Ban the whole crew for life.’

Surprisingly, the fan appeared to be wearing a wedding ring in the video, which caught Basara’s eye.

‘Just realized he’s… MARRIED,’ Basara wrote on X. ‘Wonder if his wife knows what he’s saying to woman half his age at the Eagles games.’
