Brett Favre thinks Aaron Rodgers has ‘a lot of juice left’ as Jets QB faces uncertain future

Brett Favre is one of the only people who could identify with Aaron Rodgers — and he doesn’t see a player who should be considering retirement.

The former Packers, Jets and Vikings quarterback offered advice for Rodgers in a recent interview with TMZ Sports.

Favre, who has followed Rodgers’ career closely since their time together in Green Bay, expressed confidence in the Jets QB’s ability to bounce back and return to playing at a high level after a disappointing 2024 season.

“He’s got something left,” Favre insisted. “I think I’m right in saying that he has a lot of juice left in the tank.”

While acknowledging the struggles both Rodgers and the Jets faced this past season, Favre believes that Rodgers is too talented to fail.

“I just think he still can play. You saw it this last game. You go, ‘Well, where’s that been?’” Favre continued.

“That’s the Aaron Rodgers we know. He’s making all the throws, guys are responding to him, love playing with him. Where’s that been all year?”

Favre is referring to Rodgers’ Week 18 performance, where he threw for a season-best four touchdown pᴀsses and 274 yards through the air, in a 32-20 season-ending win over the Miami Dolphins.

“If there’s any little inkling in him that wants to play and prove that he can still do it at a high level, then I would say do it,” the Hall of Famer added.

Rodgers threw for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns, 11 interceptions and was sacked 40 times while completing 63 percent of his pᴀsses after missing all but one series of the 2023 season with a torn Achilles.

Rodgers, who turned 41 last month, is weighing whether or not he’ll play in 2025 and has expressed some interest in returning to the Jets if the new GM and coach want him back.
