LA Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford’s daughters hospitalized before NFL playoff game

Matthew Stafford and his family’s trip to Arizona for the NFL’s Wild Card playoff weekend took a turn for the worse Saturday night.

Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams are slated to face the Minnesota Vikings at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona after the wildfires that devastated the City of Angels this week forced the NFL to relocate the showdown from SoFi Stadium.

However, Kelly Stafford, wife of the quarterback, revealed their weekend suffered another scary turn of events.

Kelly, who shares 7-year-old twins Sawyer and Chandler, Hunter, 6, and Tyler, 4 with the former Super Bowl winner, revealed that she and her daughters had to be taken into hospital.

The mom-of-four shared a pH๏τo to her Instagram story showing two of their daughters lying in a hospital bed.

‘Last night was long,’ she wrote alongside the pH๏τo. ‘Back in beds and sleeping, everyone except Hunter. Feels like she drank a Celsius.’

‘Before that tho,’ she later noted in a follow-up post, ‘they were all smiles getting to go with daddy on his work trip.’

While the former college cheerleader didn’t share more details about her daughters’ hospitalization, she did suggest the need for medical care stemmed from an illness the family had been suffering with throughout the past week.

‘Found our happy place in AZ. I promise we are happy, just still [ill],’ Kelly ᴀssured in another post, shared Sunday afternoon.

Earlier this week, Kelly had suggested that she and her daughters could move out of their family home in order to protect her husband from the disease with the playoffs looming.

‘I can’t think straight, I currently believe I have the flu,’ she said on the January 7 episode of her Morning After podcast. ‘Two of my daughters have the flu.’

She also revealed that she felt she couldn’t move while attending the Rams game against the Seattle Seahawks last weekend.

‘I pᴀssed out on a little bench in the suite,’ she explained. ‘We had all of our friends in town and I was a real downer. Body aches are serious.’

‘If all my kids have the flu, I don’t think we should be in this house with him,’ she added, speaking about the signal caller.

The Rams playoff game was moved from Los Angeles to Arizona after the league was forced into action amid the tragedy unfolding in the Californian city.

ᴅᴇᴀᴅly fires tore through the ritzy enclave of Pacific Palisades and rapidly spread through the City of Angels, killing five and displacing thousands, this week.

As heroic firefighters battle hellish conditions in a struggle to contain at least five different blazes – with the largest two covering 27,000 acres – neighborhoods have been reduced to ash and rubble.

Kelly, who resides in Hidden Hills with Stafford and their daughters, took to social media to share a heartbreaking message.

‘These fires are truly terrifying. Praying for all the fire fighters and their loved ones,’ the mother-of-four posted to her Instagram story. ‘Yes, homes and structures are important, but never more important than a life. Please stay safe.’

In another post, she shared a video showing the devastation the blazes have left in their wake, writing: ‘Watching this over and over because it doesn’t seem real.’
