Ex-NFL star Robert Quinn arrested for allegdly fleeing scene of a multi-car accident

Robert Quinn, a former first-round pick and Pro Bowl defensive end, has had another run-in with the law.

The 34-year-old retired star was charged with leaving the scene of an accident with property damage and reckless driving in South Carolina early Friday morning.

Police responded to a car repair shop around 2 a.m. to investigate a crash involving multiple vehicles.

A white Dodge Challenger was going in reverse when police arrived, according to official reports and when stopped by police, a female driver told them that Quinn, who was in the pᴀssenger seat, had called her for a ride, according to WCBD in Charleston.

Police said Quinn was uncooperative following the incident and was slurring his speech, according to TMZ.

Quinn was also reportedly at a gentleman’s club before his arrest and surveillance cameras showed him driving his pickup truck over a median and intersection and into the area where the crash was reported.

Following the arrest, a mugsH๏τ of Quinn showed him with fresh cuts all over his face.

As of Saturday afternoon, Quinn was being held at a detention center.

Quinn, a South Carolina native, played college football at North Carolina before being selected 14th overall by the then-St. Louis Rams in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft.

He also played for the Dolphins, Cowboys, Bears and Eagles, with whom he finished his career in 2022.

He was also arrested in August 2023 following his connection to multiple hit-and-run crashes and slapping a woman in South Carolina. 

Quinn was also arrested in Missouri in 2012 on a DWI charge.
