Eagle-eyed NFL fans spot key Aaron Rodgers detail in Jets video that could signal his future

NFL fans paying close attention to a recent New York Jets video caught a key detail about Aaron Rodgers that may signal his future – he was visibly crying in the locker room after the win over the Dolphins.

The season-ending victory on Sunday improved New York’s record to 5-12, well shy of making the postseason. Yet, Rodgers was clearly indebted to his teammates with the end of a certain era.

Rodgers’ has not stated his intentions for next season and beyond, or whether there is a door open to return to the Jets for the 2025 season.

The quarterback is 41 and he knows his Jets tenure has not gone to plan. His first season in New York ended four offensive snaps in with a torn Achilles.

Rodgers saw the Jets general manager and head coach fired to try and steer the ship correct. Team owner Woody Johnson traded for Davante Adams in hopes of a late-stretch run for a postseason berth. Nothing worked.

Now comes a crossroads for the Jets and Rodgers, who may be the team’s starting quarterback in September and also might never play another NFL snap.

The visible crying shows how the last two seasons have taken an effect on Rodgers regardless of results.

With a new head coach and general manager coming in, things will surely be heavily revamped this offseason even if Rodgers is firmly in the Jets’ nucleus.

Rodgers’ dream when leaving Green Bay for the Big Apple officially ended after the win over Miami.

The Jets have plenty of problems that are not Rodgers that can be addressed this offseason. And at times, the Rodgers who is a four-time NFL MVP showed up in green and white.

The notion of winning a Super Bowl with a quarterback in his 40s (Rodgers will turn 42 in December) is a strategy that worked once.

Tom Brady, the now-Fox commentator. led the Buccaneers to a тιтle at 43 during the pandemic NFL season.

It should not take long to know the path Rodgers is headed down.
