Steve Kerr’s childhood home destroyed in LA fires: ‘Surreal and devastating’

Steve Kerr lost his childhood home in the Pacific Palisades fire this week.

The Warriors head coach told reporters on Thursday that his mother, Ann, 90, made it out safely despite the devastating loss.

“It’s been tough. My family is fine, my mom is in good hands,” Kerr said during a press conference. “But her house is gone and I’ve been on the phone with my siblings quite a bit. Family calls, just with my mom. But she’s got a lot of support and friends, so she’s safe and sound. But that’s my hometown, and all of my friends who are from there, pretty much they’ve all lost their homes, their family homes, childhood homes.”
