Baltimore Ravens suffer mᴀssive blow before playoff showdown with Zay Flowers a 'long sH๏τ' to play

The Baltimore Ravens have been dealt a major blow ahead of the playoffs, with star receiver Zay Flowers expected to miss this weekend’s wild card clash against the Steelers.

The 24-year-old year suffered a knee injury in Baltimore’s Week 18 game against the Browns, with initial reports claiming he had suffered a sprain.

The Ravens were hopeful Flowers could return in time for this week’s game, with head coach John Harbaugh insisting it was ‘not a season-ending injury’.

But, according to NFL Network, the Pro Bowl receiver is a ‘long sH๏τ’ to play against Pittsburgh at M&T Bank Stadium.

He did not participate in practice on Tuesday and is more likely to return for the divisional round – should the Ravens make it that far.

‘It’s just going to be day to day, trying to do everything he can do to get back as soon as he can,’ Harbaugh said on Monday. ‘And we’ll see where that takes us.’

The 24-year-old year suffered a knee injury in Baltimore’s Week 18 game against the Browns

Flowers was due to have an MRI scan on Sunday after going down during the second quarter against the Browns.

He suffered the injury after catching his foot on a teammate’s leg as a defender from the Browns made contact with his knee.

Flowers was immediately seen clutching his right leg. He limped off the field and did not play another snap.

Without Flowers, the Ravens beat the Browns 35-10 to win the AFC North and secure the No 3 seed.
