Crazy moment NFL fan records Jahmyr Gibbs throwing the ball straight at his phone on incredible four-TD night

Crazy moment NFL fan records Jahmyr Gibbs throwing the ball straight at his phone on incredible four-TD night

A fan sitting behind one of the Ford Field end zones recording a Jahmyr Gibbs touchdown on his phone quickly lost sight of it after the Lions running back chucked the football into the crowd and struck the device.

Gibbs can be seen slipping behind the Minnesota Vikings defense, getting untouched into the end zone, and hauling in a Jared Goff pᴀss for a score.

The running back takes a few steps before throwing the ball into the crowd with no real target, but it was a bullseye for striking a fan’s phone.

The ball can be heard smacking into the fan’s phone, with him losing sight of it for nearly two minutes to celebrate the touchdown.

Eventually, the fan picks up the phone to show the fan with the ball and realized the entire thing was recorded.

Gibbs’ third-quarter score held as the game-winner, and was one of four for him on Sunday night, as the Lions defeated the Vikings 31-9 to claim the NFC’s top seed in the playoffs and the only Wild Card Weekend bye in the conference.

Gibbs opened the scoring on Sunday night, had the receiving touchdown, and capped it off with a pair of fourth-quarter scores to dismantle the 14-win Vikings.

The stakes in the game were humungous as the losing team, Minnesota, must now travel to Los Angeles to face the Rams in the Wild Card round.

The Vikings will be the road team despite winning the third most regular-season games in the NFL, in a tie with the Eagles, and four more than the Rams.

With Gibbs becoming the workhorse of the Detroit offense has shown his true potential, with four scores representing every touchdown in the game for either team.

The Lions will now await to see who they host in the Divisional round, as all roads for the NFC to the Super Bowl will go through Ford Field.

Detroit will either face the Packers, Commanders, Vikings (again), or the Rams in two weeks.
