Steelers star George Pickens calls out his own fans for a fight after criticizing his shocking performance against Bengals

Pittsburgh Steeler star George Pickens’ embarrᴀssing night boiled over to the stands as he challenged a fan to fight on the sideline.

During the Steelers’ game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Saturday, the wide receiver let his frustration get to him after struggling on the field.

In the 19-17 loss to their divisional rivals, the 23-year-old made one catch on six targets with three drops and zero yards.

At one point, Pickens was seen trading verbal jabs with a Steelers fan on the sideline. He then gestured for the spectator to come down to the field as his teammates held him back.

After videos of the exchange circulated, several fans took to the comments to express their frustration with Pickens.

‘Steelers love drafting diva wide receivers,’ one user wrote.

‘Why do they keep drafting bad character guys?’ a second added.

‘Andy Reid could take him tomorrow and fix the atтιтude and turn him into Jerry Rice in 1 season. Never been held accountable in PA,’ suggested a third.

Veteran quarterback Russell Wilson also talked to Pickens on the bench as they desperately needed him to click into the game mentally. Unfortunately, Pickens’ productivity remained absent as the Steelers marched toward defeat.

The loss moved the Steelers to 10-7 as they sit second in the AFC North. Despite losing, Pittsburgh has secured a playoff spot, with the sixth seed locked in.

On the other hand, Cincinnati is 9-8 and still in the running for postseason contention.

The Steelers were 10-3 through their first 13 games before losing all four of their last regular season games.

Pickens wrapped up his third regular season with 59 receptions for 900 yards and three touchdowns.
