Comedian Hannah Brenner has sparked an angry online backlash for a crᴀss joke comparing Travis Kelce’s relationship to Taylor Swift with the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
Luigi Mangione is behind bars in Brooklyn after being charged with Thompson’s murder but the 26-year-old has gathered an unlikely online fanbase due to his appearance.
Brenner, appearing on the Netflix special ‘Torching 2024: A Roast of the Year’ joked that she is one of Mangione’s admirers, saying: ‘Luigi is so H๏τ right now.
‘Who knew, besides Travis Kelce, that you could become so popular with women by shooting loads into a billionaire?’
The live audience in the clip can be heard groaning as well as laughing and there were plenty of fans online who did not appreciate the gag.
‘Not to be too woke but that was wildly inappropriate,’ one fan wrote while sharing the clip.

‘I really liked her, but this is just disappointing and not funny at all,’ said another.
A different response to the joke read: ‘I also just feel like in order to land an inappropriate joke, it has to actually be funny.’
Another reply said: ‘People love to reduce Taylor to the men in her life, but to do it about her as a Sєxual object is so gross.’
Kelce and Swift launched their relationship in September 2023, when she watched him play for the Kansas City Chiefs against the Chicago Bears at Arrowhead Stadium alongside his mom, Donna.
Most recently, they were pictured together in New York after Kelce had played for the Chiefs on Christmas Day against Pittsburgh Steelers.
Swift will likely spend a lot of January in Kansas City as Kelce and the Chiefs step up their bid for the Super Bowl тιтle in the NFL playoffs. Their first game will be on the weekend of January 18-19.
Mangione, meanwhile, pleaded not guilty to murder and terror charges in December in a New York City court.
He was arrested early December in Altoona, Pennsylvania after Thompson was sH๏τ and killed walking to a H๏τel in Manhattan for an investor conference.
