Angry Jaguars fans fly banner over team's stadium with brutal message to owner Shahid Khan

Fans of the Jacksonville Jaguars have been thoroughly unimpressed with their team the past two seasons – and some are beginning to call for the jobs of key figures in the franchise.

Last year, the Jags went 6-2 to start their season and were favorites to win the AFC South before their bye week. After that week, they promptly went 3-6 and missed out on the playoffs entirely.

This season, they weren’t favorites for the division but were expected to compete. Instead, they went 3-12 going into this weekend and were eliminated from the playoffs early.

As a result, fans were expressing their anger during their final home game of the regular season on Sunday.

Much of that anger has been directed at owner Shahid ‘Shad’ Kahn and general manager Trent Baalke.

That included an airplane that flew over EverBank Field that carried a banner behind it, reading,’ Shad-Fire Baalke! For Duval!,’ referring to Duval County where Jacksonville resides.

Baalke has been in his post since taking over the general manager position on an interim basis in November of 2020.

Under his leadership, the Jaguars have put up a record of 25-47 and the team only made the playoffs once – in the 2022 season when they reached the Divisional round before losing to the eventual Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.

Kahn has been at the helm of the franchise since buying it in 2012, but has only seen the team make two playoff runs since then.

This isn’t the first time this season that a plane has carried a message for a team owner. The New York Giants saw a message fly over MetLife Stadium back in Week 14 asking owner John Mara to ‘PLZ FIX THIS DUMPSTER FIRE’.

The Jaguars treated their home fans to one final victory at EverBank this season – a 20-13 win over the Tennessee тιтans on Sunday afternoon. They close the season on the road against the Indianapolis Colts.
