Martha Stewart bonded with Rihanna at the Footwear News Achievement Awards in New York on Wednesday.
The businesswoman, 83, was embraced by the singer, 36, at the ceremony, held at Cipriani South Street.
Martha was every inch the golden girl in a metallic embossed coat which she teamed with loafers and a gold sequin top and trousers.
Rihanna, meanwhile, wowed in a plunging white gown as she attended the awards ceremony with A$AP Rocky.
During the evening, Martha took to the stage and appeared in her element as she addressed the crowd.
The television personality also posed for pH๏τos with Kenneth Cole and TV star Brooke Burke.

The annual Footwear News Achievement Awards has been around for nearly 40 years.
It is often called the Shoe Oscars and it celebrates the hitmakers, style stars, brand stories, philanthropists, emerging talents and industry veterans.
Since the release of the Martha documentary on Netflix, the media star has received backlash for what she has said about and in the film.
Martha participated in the project, granting extensive on-camera interviews for it, but has been publicly scathing about the finished product .
She complained that the film was ‘lazy’ and ‘left a lot out,’ to the point she hopes to approach the streaming service about cutting together a ‘Version Two.’
Filmmaker RJ Cutler, who has previously directed documentaries about Anna Wintour, Billie Eilish, John Belushi and Elton John, was frank about his creative differences with the subject of his latest feature on the podcast The Town With Matthew Belloni.
‘Martha saw the film and she told me what she thought about it, and it wasn’t surprising to me that she would’ve made a different film that I made, of course,’ he said.

‘And she gave me her feedback, and she was upset that I didn’t make the changes that she wanted to me, but this is process,’ Cutler argued.
‘It takes a tremendous amount of courage on her part to trust me. I respect that,’ he said.
‘In return I share the film with her and have conversations with her about the film.’
‘If she has ideas that I think are good ideas and will help the film that I’m making, I’ll take a good idea from everybody, believe me.’
Just last week, Martha hosted an intimate luncheon to feast with her close pals as they celebrated the release of her 100th cookbook.
The clip showed off some of the afternoon’s highlights and delectable desserts.
