90 Day Fiancé star Leida Margaretha receives MAJOR court ruling in felony fraud and theft case in Wisconsin

Reality star Leida Margaretha has been cleared of felony fraud and theft charges in Columbia County, Wisconsin, more than a year after she was arrested on allegations she embezzled thousands from a business she was a temp at.

Charges including felony wire fraud, fraud against a financial insтιтution and theft were dismissed on Tuesday against the 90 Day Fiancé personality, 35, In Touch reported after reviewing court records.

Following a November 21 plea hearing in the case, the charges against the Indonesia-born TLC star were dismissed by the Columbia County District Attorney’s Office November 26, according to court records; a judge signed off on the motion December 2.

Margaretha’s lawyer Taylor M. Hart said last month that the issue was ‘not resolved,’ court records indicated.

Margaretha continues to face felony charges such as wire fraud against a financial insтιтution; bail jumping; and business-related theft.

Margaretha, a temp at the company, used its account details to disperse money to outside accounts she controlled, Portage Police Department Lt. Ben Neuman told the station.

The department at the time issued a news release covering the details of what led to the arrest of the TV personality.

‘On Thursday, October 5, 2023, the Portage Police Department was notified by the owners of Loggerhead Deco … regarding an internal theft involving a temp employee employed as their bookkeeper.

‘Through the investigation, it was determined the employee had made fraudulent payments and withdraws to several business accounts and customers using Loggerhead Deco’s account information.’

Among the charges Margaretha faced at the time included theft from a business, forgery, data fraud and wire fraud, authorities said.

Police said that victims impacted by Margaretha told authorities ‘several thousands of dollars in unauthorized business account payments and withdraws’ had been made.
