Emmerdale star Michael Parr has revealed he was hospitalised after falling ill and spending four days in a H๏τel room hallucinating.
The Ross Barton actor, 38, said that he was rushed to hospital with suspected Legionnaire’s Disease while he was out working in India for a Bollywood production.
He was found by a colleague in his H๏τel room after being delirious and hallucinating for days, during which his health rapidly deteriorated.
Mike told the Mirror: ‘I dropped about 20lb in four days and my cheekbones were starting to protrude.
‘I’d been in my room hallucinating for four days. I didn’t know what was going on. I was delirious. I’m a mᴀssive chess player and I was so out of it I kept thinking I was a chess piece.’
Doctors treated him for severe dehydration and initially administered electrolytes, which unfortunately made him feel worse before eventually placing him on a drip.

He added: ‘Being taken to hospital in a foreign country is always scary, but especially when you can’t communicate with the doctors.’
It comes after it was revealed that the Michael is set to return to Emmerdale, six years after actor he quit the role.
The star, who first joined the soap in 2013, became a fan favourite for his portrayal of the complex-but-charismatic Ross.
The actor said he was ‘bored’ just two months after his departure in 2018 due to being out of work, but will reappear on screen later this year.
Ross’s return is said to make a huge impact, immediately throwing the village into chaos with his ‘wild and reckless behaviour’.
His departure followed a horrific acid attack which left him battling depression, and first look images of his return show him bearing scars years later.
During his time on the show, Ross was known for his tumultuous relationships with Donna Windsor and Debbie Dingle.
His first relationship culminated sadly in Donna’s suicide, when she fell with dodgy criminal Gary North off the roof of a car park. Having truly loved Donna, Ross was absolutely devastated by her death.

Ross later began a secret affair with Debbie, who was engaged to his brother Pete.
This ended when it was revealed that Ross had a one night stand with Debbie’s mother, Charity, conceiving baby Moses.
Ross also became involved in many dangerous schemes including a plot to kill his brother Pete, but is most notably remembered for the heart-wrenching storyline which saw him battle with depression during his recovery from a devastating acid attack.
Of his return, Michael said: ‘I’m over the moon to be returning to Emmerdale. Ross is a character I’m extremely fond of and I’m excited to explore what he’s been up to over the past five years.
‘After seeing the scripts, I can’t wait for the audience to see what’s in store. One thing I can say is Ross’s return will no doubt create fireworks.’
Producer, Laura Shaw, added: ‘We are delighted to have Michael back at Team Emmerdale, playing the unforgettable and charismatic bad boy Ross Barton once again. Ross makes a huge impact from the first moment he arrives back on screen, immediately throwing some of our villagers’ lives into disarray.
‘Chaotic, wild and reckless, Ross is absolutely going to shake up the village and prove it’s never quiet with a Barton boy back in town.’
Michael made his final Emmerdale appearance as Ross Barton on November 2, 2018, and admitted just a few weeks after his last-ever episode aired that he was ‘bored’ after being out of work for two months.

Michael quit the soap after reportedly growing tired of his character Ross Barton’s dark storylines.
He confirmed his departure from the ITV show on Twitter after five years in the role, with a source telling The Sun it was due to growing tired with the daily hours in the makeup chair as part of the acid attack storyline.
His storylines included Robert Sugden’s shooting, almost being killed by his brother Pete, and in his final months on the show being the victim of a horrific acid attack.
Michael confirmed the news he was quitting by saying: ‘Yes I’ll be leaving the soap soon. Have had the best few years at Emmerdale but it’s time to move on and explore other avenues. If I win that soap award I might stay though.’
However a source told The Sun at the time that Michael chose to leave the show due to being unhappy with his choice of story lines, as well as the hours he would spend having the makeup applied to recreate the scarring caused by an acid attack.
They said: ‘Mike has told anyone who will listen how much he hated his storylines and what bosses had done with his character.
‘He particularly hated the make-up he had to wear for the acid attack storyline. He’s been fed up for ages and has finally told bosses he’s off.’
