I’m A Celeb’s BushTucker trial shake-up blasted as ‘ridiculous and unfair’ by fans – who claim prize to the finale has ‘ruined’ the show

There will be a huge BushTucker trial shake-up tonight on I’m A Celeb as campmates are forced to turn on each other to win a brand new prize – and fans aren’t impressed.

In a sneak peak at Wednesday night’s trial, the eight remaining celebs go head to head in the Arcade Of Agony.

However, they are not only playing to win stars for camp but also tickets to win a prize which has never been seen before on the show.

On Tuesday night’s I’m A Celebrity…Unpacked, Joel Dommett revealed that over the next two days, campmates will be competing for a ticket to the Cyclone.

‘Whoever wins this will be safe from the next two vote-offs and will be guaranteed a place in the trial every celebrity wants to do, The Celebrity Cyclone,’ he explained.

In the Arcade of Agony, the campmates can be seen rummaging around in a box filled with some kind of fish or animal entrails for coins.

Once they have a coin, they must run over to one of the claw machine booths and insert it in exchange for one game credit.

They are then tasked with winning plastic balls which contain tickets which can be exchanged for prizes, as streams of bugs rain down on them.

If they fail to get the ball, they have to get another coin out of the box of offal and try again.

Hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly feel no way about distracting the campmates as they are in deep focus trying to beat the claw machine.

Piling on the pressure, Dec said: ‘Still looking for stars for dinner tonight guys as well, remember?’

‘They’re so focussed,’ he added, to which Ant replied: ‘They’re really focussed on coins and balls and tickets and stars.’

The hosts then broke out into a loud and repeтιтive chant of ‘coins and balls and tickets and stars’ but the campmates joined in, instead of letting it throw them off.

When Ant asked Coleen Rooney how she was doing, she snapped back rather bluntly with: ‘I’m okay. I am just focussing.’

Since hearing about the trial shake-up, fans have taken to social media to express their anger as they feel they have been cheated out of the chance to use their vote to choose the final four who will take part in the Cyclone.

On X, one wrote: ‘I hate this ticket to Cyclone thing… one of the best things about I’m a celeb coming to an end is seeing the camp mates collectively realise they’ve made it to Cycloneand their faces… also… doesn’t this mean that the public have less of a say on who goes?’

Another asked: ‘This ticket to the Cyclone thing is so ridiculous, why are we talking immunity this far into the final week?’

‘I’m not sure how I feel about winning a Cyclone ticket, doesn’t that defeat the purpose of the public vote?’ a third echoed.

Yet another said: ‘I’ve missed voting on this show a lot. I feel like I haven’t seen any of my favourites in trials in ages, and now I can’t even vote to keep them in for the Cyclone?

‘They’re all a nice group, but I want entertaining people.’

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! airs on ITV and ITVX.
