Bookies were sick to their stomachs watching the Jameis Winston Experience on Monday.
In what was likely a multi-million dollar swing for the books, public bettors were thrilled to see Winston throw a late pick-six to secure a cover for the Denver Broncos in their 41-32 win.
Three of the major legal online sportsbooks tell The Post that the Broncos -6.5 received at least 74 percent of the money at each of their books just prior to kickoff.
DraftKings reported 74 percent of the money was on Denver -6.5, while ESPN BET had a similar figure at 74.6 percent and BetMGM received 79 percent of the money on the Broncos against the spread (ATS).
The Broncos led 31-25 entering the fourth quarter before the Browns scored a touchdown to go ahead by one point. Denver countered with a field goal to take a 34-32 lead with 2:54 remaining.
Winston, who ended the game with 497 pᴀssing yards, threw a quick out route to Browns receiver Elijah Moore, but the pᴀss was jumped and intercepted by Ja’Quan McMillian.
Moore seemingly gave up on the play as he was out of bounds, allowing McMillian to get up after falling during the interception and return it 44 yards for the touchdown.
Winston did make things scary late for Denver bettors when he drove to the Broncos’ two-yard line with less than a minute remaining, but he tossed another interception.
The bizarre series of events handed the Broncos a cover on all accounts, regardless of what number you received.
The line initially opened at 5.5 in favor of the Broncos but strong betting interest in the home team resulted in further movement before closing at 6.5 at most shops.
DraftKings alone likely had millions of dollars on the line with that interception, which would’ve been fine had Moore just made contact with McMillian.
Since McMillian wasn’t touched, he was free to run that one into the end zone, which was a shocking final twist to a wild game that featured tons of big plays and momentum swings.
The total for the game came in at 41 total points and the teams cleared that mark less than five minutes into the second half.
