Fans go wild for new spy thriller starring Michael Fᴀssbender and heap praise on ‘insane cast’

Fans have gone wild for a new spy thriller with an ‘insane cast’ including Oscar-nominated Michael Fᴀssbender, after it finally hit screens in the US on Friday.

The Agency is based on the highly acclaimed French program The Bureau and was produced by George Clooney and partner Grant Heslov through their company Smokehouse Pictures.

Amongst the all-star cast are Richard Gere, Jodie Turner-Smith, Hugh Bonnerville and David Harewood.

The political thriller launched by Paramount Plus follows Michael’s character Martian, a covert CIA agent ordered to abandon his undercover life, and report to Richard’s Bosko in London.

His career, his real idenтιтy and his mission are put in jeopardy when the love he left behind from his undercover life finds him and they reignite their romance.

While it broadcast in the US on Friday, UK viewers have to wait one more day as it debuts on Paramount Plus on November 30.

It comes after Michael made an appearance on the Graham Norton show on Friday night and discussed the exciting new show. 

Quizzed on how the role came about, she said:,’I’d seen the original French series and thought what a fascinating character it would be to play and then the script came to me. So, it was a pretty quick decision.’

Revealing he met a number of real spies in preparing for the role, he added: ‘I think a lot of spies are just dying to tell you they are a spy. 

‘A lot of them watch these sorts of series and are very interested in them. 

‘The ones I met told how great the original French series was and how great the original lead actor was, and I was like ‘Yeah, I know!’
