Fans flooded social media with praise after Shaboozey took the stage for a memorable halftime performance during the Thanksgiving Day game between the Detroit Lions and the Chicago Bears.
The Grammy-nominated singer, 29, who earlier this year sparked rumors of a romance with Emily Ratajkowski, treated the crowd to a mix of his hit songs, including Tipsy (A Bar Song) and Last of My Kind.
The six-minute set earned rave reviews online, with many on X (formerly Twitter) applauding Shaboozey for delivering a family-friendly performance that stood out in stark contrast to the usual halftime fare.
‘Well done, @ShaboozeysJeans. Good, clean, family-friendly performance at halftime,’ one fan wrote.
Another chimed in with excitement: ‘AMERICA has made the turn… NFL has Shaboozey (country star) playing at halftime! Finally, something everyone can watch that’s not foul and disgusting like normal music for NFL games.’
Several others expressed their appreciation for the wholesome nature of the show. One fan declared, ‘No need for grinding, wardrobe malfunctions, or satanic staging! Well done, @DetroitLions. #nfl #detroitlions. He represented well.’

Another enthusiast added, “Bad ᴀss! It’s a great time to be a #lions #detroitlions #detroit #nfl fan! Also nice not to have nasty, slutty, satanic rappers at halftime!”
One fan, impressed by the performance despite not being a country music fan, said, ‘Probably one of the best halftime shows I’ve seen in a long time. Shaboozey is bringing it, and I’m not even a country fan.’

The halftime show comes after Shaboozey fans were left furious over the singer losing in the Single of the Year category at the 2024 CMA Awards.
The music artist went up against Cody Johnson, Post Malone, Lainey Wilson and Chris Stapleton, who won for his song White Horse.
It comes two days after the star’s song A Bar Song (Tipsy) added an 18th week at number one on the Billboard H๏τ 100.
It’s just one week away from tying with Lil Nas X’s Old Town Road (featuring Billy Ray Cyrus) for longest number one hit.
After his Single of the Year defeat, one fan wrote on X, ‘They just snubbed Shaboozey #CMAs.’
Another person added in all capital letters, ‘Shaboozey got robbed on the first award!!! F**k the CMAs!!!’

Shaboozey, born Collins Obinna Chibueze, arrived to the awards show in a mint green Western-inspired suit and black shirt, plus sparkly black footwear.
Shaboozey’s statement-making suit was adorned with black trim and embroidery throughout.
It was personalized, with a portion of his name elaborately displayed on the back of his jacket.
Later in the night he took the stage to perform his viral smash A Bar Song (Tipsy) and a new song called Highway.
Upon receiving his first CMA Award nomination, Shaboozey relayed a messagé of appreciation to Beyoncé, whose Cowboy Carter album he appeared on twice earlier this year.
Taking to social media app X, he wrote, “Thank you Beyoncé for opening a door for us, starting a conversation, and giving us one of the most innovative country albums of all time!’
Chibueze, whose stage name is the phonetic spelling of his surname, was born to Nigerian immigrants.
He told the Tennessean in April, ‘Being from Virginia, you’ve got acts like Pharrell, Missy, and Timbaland, who do come from hip-hop.
‘And you also have that country history as well with Patsy Cline, the Carter Family and Emmylou Harris.’
