The Chase fans were left ‘gutted’ during Wednesday’s show when a contestant broke show records before disaster struck.
Contestant Moyra put on a ‘great performance’ against Chaser Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan but suffered a devastating blow at the last minute.
Joined by Sarah, Umar, and Ciaran, Moyra was the first player to take on Jenny and racked up an impressive £5,000 in the cash builder.
Sarah went next and also answered five questions correctly, but things soon went downhill for the group when she got caught.
Umar was caught next with Ciaran then deciding to go for the higher offer of £75,000 but he was beat just two questions in.
After being left in the game with just £5000, luckily Moyra answered an incredible 18 questions correctly in the final chase.

But despite attaining one of the highest solo scores she was caught out with just 22 seconds left on the clock.
Jenny said: ‘I had a feeling. I wouldn’t put anything past Moyra, that was a really great performance.’
Sharing their thoughts on X, fans wrote: ‘What a shame. Hard lines Moyra. You can hold your head high. Shaun would have let her win that methinks’; ‘Unlucky Moyra, but what a player’;
‘Great effort Moyra’; ‘Hard luck Moyra, someone with some brains is indeed a rare thing on the chase lately, shame she was lumbered with blithering idiots’; ‘She was expetional’; ‘Don’t tell her she needed another player! That’s absolutely what she didn’t need, I bet they would have got less, because of the amount of time lost in pressing the buzzers & they might have buzzed in & pᴀssed or got something wrong. Moyra was brilliant, well done.’
Earlier this week, The Chase viewers claimed they ‘switched off’ Monday night’s programme after a contestant’s ‘disgraceful’ move.
Contestants Abi, Greg, Gaynor and Scott all went up against Paul Sinha, also know as the Sinnerman.
But furious fans branded the show ‘a joke’ after the players continued to choose the lower offers – despite Greg answering all the questions correctly.
Presenter Bradley Walsh even ‘mocked’ the four players as they took their third low offer, admitting you’d ‘only buy a coffee’ with that money.

After Abi was beaten by Paul in her round, the rest of the team felt the need to play the game safe.
Gaynor and Scott urged Greg to take the lower offer of £2000, which he earned after making it to the final chase.
After Gaynor and Greg made it through to the final rounds, it was Paul’s turn to beat the chaser.
Gaynor insisted Greg take the lower offer, explaining how they needed him to join them in the final chase, which only took the team’s total up to £3200.
Paul admitted: ‘It’s been a long time since I’ve played a team where three of them have gone low but they had a plan.’
Bradley couldn’t help put joke about the trio’s low offer as he quipped: ‘End up with £3,200. Split it up and go buy a coffee.’
The trio’s decision sparked outrage from fans watching at home, with several taking to X to air their frustration.
