Lorraine Kelly was left mortified after her husband called into her show to correct a blunder during Wednesday’s episode of her self-тιтled programme.
The presenter, 64, who has been married to Steve Smith for 32 years, was interrupted mid broadcast after she received a text from her husband after he noticed a mistake in a previous segment on wildlife pH๏τography.
Alerting her viewers, Lorraine told fans: ‘News just in, my husband has given me a text and said “that was just a badger, it wasn’t a honey badger”.’
Seeing the funny side of her husband’s interruption, Lorraine looked back at the picture of the badger as she concluded: ‘Yeah ok, fine. Moving on.’
The ITV star occasionally shares snaps of herself alongside Steve, who is a TV cameraman, to her Instagram but their relationship has mostly been kept out of the public eye.
The pair married in 1992 and share one daughter, Rosie, 30, who welcomed her first daughter and Lorraine’s first granddaughter back in August.

Steve has famously stayed out of the spotlight and in his wife’s shadow, with Lorraine joking ‘his idea of hell would be a premiere’ – but he understands the demands of her role in the entertainment world.

She previously told The Mirror: He picks up the slack and always has. I couldn’t do what I do if it weren’t for him. He makes me laugh an awful lot. He’s very kind and a brilliant dad.’
Lorraine added: ‘His idea of hell on earth would be at something like a premiere,’ laughs Lorraine. It would be like having needles stuck in his eyes. That does help. It must be very odd being with someone who enjoys walking down a red carpet.’
The couple celebrated their 32nd wedding anniversary in September and Lorraine shared a sweet snap of the pair to mark the special day.
She captioned the snap: ‘A more up to date pic of me and @stevesmithdundee – for our 32nd anniversary – at The Law in Dundee.’
Just minutes before, she shared a black and white pH๏τograph of the couple’s 1992 wedding, writing: ‘Happy Anniversary @stevesmithdundee.
‘THIRTY TWO years you’ve put up with me! Love you ❤️#anniversary #love #happyanniversary.’
Meanwhile Lorraine was left open-mouthed after Kate Nash made a very cheeky remark towards her as the Foundations singer, 37, appeared on the programme to discuss her racy new career venture.

Earlier this week, Kate announced she has started her own OnlyFans account to help fund her tour as she is struggling financially.
Giving her reasoning for making an account, Kate explained that she believes ‘the music industry has failed artists’ and ‘people are not making enough money’.
And she made sure to also offer words of encouragement to a blushing Lorraine, as she told the host: ‘Lorraine I think if you started an OnlyFans account you would be a millionaire.’
Bursting into laughter, Lorraine was red-faced as she quipped: ‘They don’t want to see that!’
Not letting it go, at the end of the interview, Kate insisted: ‘Lorraine honestly join me, I’m telling you, you’re gorgeous.’
The ITV star jokingly replied: ‘It’s a thought’.
