Pete Wicks has revealed he has been on the receiving end of nasty death threats during his time on Strictly Come Dancing.
The former TOWIE star, 36, opened up on his Staying Relevant podcast on Saturday while discussing having made it all the way to the quarter final stages of the hit BBC dance show.
The reality star was talking about his time on the show with his professional dance partner Jowita Przystal, 30.
The ballroom dancer was standing in for Pete’s co-host Sam Thompson, 32, who is currently in Australia, hosting the I’m A Celeb spin-off show, I’m A Celebrity… Unpacked.
During their discussion, Pete told his partner: ‘You’re the only person I can dance with, I can’t dance without you.’

And while the two were full of praise for each other, the reality star also opened up about the difficulties of appearing on the show.
He told Jowita that he had been the subject of trolling and even death threats, confessing: ‘Since Strictly, there have been some real crackers.
‘Someone actually wished death upon me on the dance floor the other day.
Yet he then spoke about the darker side of his dance show experience, including the trolling.
Jowita replied: ‘Really?’ before Pete continued to detail the hate mail he had received.
He also revealed another comment a troll had made which shocked his dance partner.
He said a troll had written on social media: ‘Lets all keep our fingers crossed that he gets booted out and breaks both legs slipping on the floor.’
The star’s confession comes after fans have been left furious and wondering how Pete has managed to stay to he compeтιтion for so long.
He told Jowita that ‘Someone actually wished death upon me on the dance floor the other day’ because of his progress to the quarter finals on Saturday

Pete’s highest score of the series so far was 36 during week 8, but he remains the show’s lowest-scoring contestant having been awarded just 22 points on two occasions.
And fans have questioned why Pete and Jowita haven’t yet found themselves in the bottom two.
Having been consistently saved from the dance off by the public vote, it has now been revealed that his clever marketing campaign could be the reason.
Pete’s celebrity pals have rallied around him, with the likes of Sam Thompson, Zara McDermott and Vicky Pattison urging their followers to vote for him.
A source told The Sun: ‘Beyond soap stars, Strictly has never seen such an effective campaign as Pete’s.
‘His celebrity pals span reality TV, music, social media stars and beyond and all of them love him.
‘Every Sunday night that reality telly army is canvᴀssing for votes for Pete and urging their own pᴀssionate fan bases to back their mate.’
Strictly fans were shocked by Sunday’s dance off this week, as they questioned why Pete and Jowita weren’t in the bottom two.
The TOWIE star and his partner finished bottom of the leaderboard on Saturday night, but made it through on the public vote.

On Saturday, the soap star sent fans into overdrive after performing a Foxtrot with pro partner Michelle Tsiakkas to Ben E King’s classic Stand By Me.
Despite many viewers raving over the soap star’s dance, Jamie was once again harshly critiqued by the judges – prompting some to accuse the panel of ‘favouritism’.
Viewers took to X to vent their irritation with many calling for Pete Wicks to have been eliminated instead.
They wrote: ‘How, HOW the actual heck did Pete escape the dance off??!?!? Montelle and Jamie did not deserve to be there, this isn’t fair
While another said: ‘Absolutley gutted Jamie went home. Shouldn’t have been in the bottom 2, let alone go!! He had my vote every week. I loved his dancing and his partnership with Michelle. I wanted him in the final Bloody joke #strictly’
And a third complained: ‘Well that’s strictly over for me this year poor Jamie’
