Olivia Munn celebrated her son Malcolm’s third birthday on Sunday.

The proud mother-of-two, 44, took to Instagram with a sweet mother–son selfie as she announced that ‘Magic Malc turns 3 today.’

She shares Malcolm with her husband, 42-year-old comedian John Mulaney. The couple also recently welcomed daughter Méi June Mulaney via gestational surrogate in September.

In her pH๏τo, the actress — who recently admitted that she ‘barely knew’ her now-husband when she got pregnant with their first child, Malcolm — was seen wearing a white robe and oversize tortoiseshell glᴀsses in what appeared to be a spa with a view of the city behind her. 

Malcolm was pictured sitting on the marble countertop of a sink and leaning against her as she wrapped her arm around him.

In her caption, she gushed about her ‘little boy’ and also revealed that the pH๏τo was captured during a difficult and emotional time in her life. 

‘This pH๏τo was taken last year just around the time I found out I had breast cancer,’ she wrote. ‘I remember this time fondly all because of this little boy.’

The Predator star added: ‘He’s made me stronger and softer in ways I never knew I could be.’

She dedicated the next part to her precious boy.

‘Happiest Birthday my sweet boy,’ she wrote. ‘You cracked my heart wide open.’

She also took to her Instagram Story to share pH๏τos of the number balloon she bought for his birthday and the Elvis Presley–inspired cake she made for him.

Alongside a pH๏τo of the cake, she penned a hilarious caption about being a mother of a toddler.

‘Malcolm loves Elvis so I made this awesome birthday cake but he couldn’t care less,’ she wrote. ‘He’s throwing the biggest tantrum and is on a hunger strike. This threenager thing came hard and fast.’

Munn previously spoke about how her son Malcolm was the reason she remained uplifted amid her breast cancer battle in 2023.

Earlier this year, she revealed she had been diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a double mastectomy the prior year. 

Shortly after welcoming Malcolm, she said she learned of her ‘terrifying’ diagnosis amid her baby boy. 

‘I was not someone who obsessed over death or was afraid of it in any way,’ she told People in April.

However, she said that ‘having a little baby at home made everything much more terrifying.’ 

She shared her graтιтude for her husband’s support and also for her son, who kept her spirits high. 

‘When I’m with him, it’s the only time my brain doesn’t think about being sick,’ she told the outlet.

Malcolm’s birthday comes just months after he became a big brother to the newest addition to their family — baby girl Méi June. Munn and Mulaney welcomed their daughter via surrogate just months after they tied the knot

Recently, Munn opened up about how her relationship with Mulaney was unconventional and said she ‘barely knew’ him when they got pregnant with Malcolm

She said their relationship ‘wasn’t anything close to dating’ when she got pregnant with their first child but she said he was excited about their baby

‘I’m just so happy with him,’ she continued. ‘And it puts a lot of stuff into perspective. 

‘Because if my body changes, I’m still his mom. If I have H๏τ flashes, I’m still his mom. If I lose my hair, I’m still his mom.’

She added: That’s really what matters the most to me. I get to be here for him.’

Her husband John was previously married to Annamarie Tendler from 2014 until their divorce in January of 2022.
