Medical TV shows have been around for decades — but not all doctor-based dramas and comedies are created equal.

Us Weekly has rounded up the best medical shows of all time to help TV lovers find their next binge. If your idea of a good show includes a young George Clooney, then ER should be at the top of your list.

“The show, at its core, brings people together,” Grey’s star Ellen Pompeo told Variety in October 2020, noting that the show works to shine a light on characters from all walks of life. “If this show has helped anybody become a better human being, then that’s the legacy I’d love to sit with.”
