Keira Knightley has insisted that she can’t walk in heels anymore and will never wear a crop top again.
The actress, 39, has reflected on her iconic noughties fashion in a new interview on Sunday where she declared: ‘It was all about my midriff!’
She was known for wearing tiny tops, low slung denim and skinny scarves after bursting into the spotlight in her late teens.
One of her most famous roles also includes playing Juliette in the 2002 film Bend It Like Beckham where she was often seen wearing a sports bra.
She told The Times that she recently saw a group of teenage girls on the tube wearing a similar style and thought: ‘I was like, ‘Hang on, are they my clothes?’
‘I don’t have the midriff any more, so it’s not coming out.’

Since having kids she told how she has a much more practical style and loves her Dr Martens boots more than anything.
She told the publication: ‘I’ve got a brown pair and a black pair, and it’s very hard to ever take them off. I’ve no idea how to walk in heels any more.’
Keira was speaking to the publication to promote her new series Black Doves.
Last month Black Doves released its first trailer for the upcoming Netflix series which sees Keira and Sarah Lancashire take on leading roles as spy and spymaster.
It gave fans their first taste of the new thriller, which follows Keira’s character Helen Webb as an agent pᴀssing on secrets of her politician husband [Andrew Buchan].
Keira is a spy for the Black Doves organisation, headed up by the enigmatic Reed [Sarah], and has been giving them political information for 10 years.
Helen’s secret lover Jason [Andrew Koji] is ᴀssᴀssinated and Reed informs her that her position in the organisation may have been compromised.
Her theory is proved right when Keira is attacked by ᴀssailants, only to be saved by a friend from her past, Sam Young, played by Ben Whishaw.
