Is it so hard to believe Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift genuinely enjoy each other’s company?
That appears to be the case as Kansas City Chiefs president Mark Donovan was again put in the position of denying rumors the relationship is more of a marketing scheme than a real romance.
‘I’d love to say that it was a marketing strategy, but it is an authentic relationship, and we’re happy to have it,’ Donovan told CNBC’s Squawk Box.
Not only is it a real romance, Donovan explained, but by extension, Swift is now a real Chiefs fan.
‘It’s been nothing but good for us,’ the three-time Super Bow-winning executive continued. ‘I think the best thing I can say about the whole relationship and the impact it’s had on us is: Taylor Swift is an authentic member of the Kansas City Chiefs kingdom. She is an authentic fan, and that matters to our fans and our fanbase, and it matters to us and we try to respect that.’

Kansas City Chiefs president Mark Donovan did not scheme up the Kelce-Swift romance
The key word for Donovan is ‘respect,’ which is why you won’t see much of Swift on the scoreboard or hear her music on the loudspeakers at Arrowhead Stadium.
As Donovan explained earlier this year, the Chiefs are ‘not trying to capitalize on this.’
‘We’re trying to celebrate it, but it’s not about doing too much or showing her every touchdown or anything like that,’ he said.
For those living in the outside our solar system’s asteroid belt, Kelce’s relationship with Swift helped to expose the NFL to hoards of new fans while the Chiefs тιԍнт end grew into a media darling and highly paid spokesman.
Apex Marketing Group reported in January that Swift’s regular appearances at Chiefs games helped to boost the NFL’s ‘brand value’ by an estimated $331.5 million.

Inevitably, fans began theorizing the Kelce-Swift union was sheer capitalism if not some sort of government-engineered psyop designed to push a political agenda.
‘The NFL is totally RIGGED for the Kansas City Chiefs, Taylor Swift, Mr. Pfizer (Travis Kelce),’ a pro-Donald Trump broadcaster Mike Crispi wrote on X in January.
Crispi claimed the alleged scheme was designed ‘to spread DEMOCRAT PROPAGANDA.’
He continued by throwing out a few predictions: ‘Calling it now: KC wins, goes to Super Bowl, Swift comes out at the halftime show and ”endorses” Joe Biden with Kelce at midfield.’
Crispi ended his post by writing that it’s ‘all been an op since day one.’
Psyop or not, the 9-1 Chiefs will visit Charlotte this Sunday to take on the 3-7 Carolina Panthers.
