Pedro Pascal shared a shirtless snap of his Gladiator II co-star Paul Mescal from one of the days they enjoyed a bromance field trip at what appeared to be the Oum Er-Rbia River in Central Morocco.

At 49, the Chilean silver fox is 21 years older than the sculpted Irishman, but the differing generations didn’t stop them from thoroughly bonding off the set of Ridley Scott’s $310M-budget historical epic.

Armed with a vintage Nikon, Pedro (born José Pedro Balmaceda Pascal) made use of his time not filming by capturing the scenery and local color in the Instagram slideshow he called ‘Mémoire pH๏τographique.’

Pascal and Mescal appeared to have enjoyed multiple picnics atop a large rug and small table set up in the desolate desert landscape.

At some point, the in-demand leading men geared up in beekeeper outfits to visit Inzerki in the town of Argana, which is the largest apiary/bee yard in the world dating back to 1850.

Pedro posted a video of him rehearsing with Paul for their choreographed Roman colosseum battle by using wooden swords while clad in T-shirts and shorts.

‘Paul and I didn’t really have a lot of words. We definitely had a lot of punches and tackles. That was our language,’ Pascal said in a BTS video last week.

In Gladiator II, Marcus trained under the late Maximus Decimus Meridius (Russell Crowe’s character from the first film) but winds up kidnapping his son Lucius Verus (Mescal) and enslaving him as a gladiator.

The Oscar nominee worked out with personal trainer Tim Blakeley five to six days a week for 12 weeks and consumed 300 grams of protein a day, while Pedro mostly relied on his gut getting ‘snatched in the leather armor.’

‘I bet it was fun for [Paul]. Maybe it would have been fun for me too if I was 20 years younger!’ Pascal scoffed to ET on October 28.

‘I saw Ridley today and he was like, “Oh your belly’s gone.” So I didn’t get into that great of a shape, okay? I got stronger than I’ve ever been just so that I can play the character, really…But I’m definitely getting to the point where I can’t just wake up and do that s***.’

Gladiator II – finally hitting US theaters this Friday – has earned $87M at the box office since opening internationally last Friday.

Pedro will also reprise his role as violent protector Joel Miller in the second season of Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann’s fungus-filled dystopian drama The Last of Us, which premieres early 2025 on Max.

The post-apocalyptic series – based on Naughty Dog’s best-selling 2013 motion-capture video game – broke records for the cable network.

Earlier this year, Mescal wrapped his role as Lionel in Oliver Hermanus’ post-WWI gay romance The History of Sound alongside Josh O’Connor, which marks his first executive producing credit – according to Variety.

The A Streetcar Named Desire thespian will next host NBC’s Saturday Night Live on December 7 with musical guest Shaboozey.

Paul’s other upcoming projects include reteaming with Ridley on sci-fi pandemic flick The Dog Stars, Chloé Zhao’s William Shakespeare biopic Hamnet, and Richard Linklater’s adaptation of the 1981 Broadway musical Merrily We Roll Along.

On the personal front, Mescal has been dating Grammy nominee Gracie Abrams as far back as August after ending his two-year relationship with three-time Grammy winner Phoebe Bridgers in 2022.
