Demi Moore hosted a Now and Then reunion during ELLE’s 2024 Women in Hollywood event on Wednesday by having her former castmates Melanie Griffith, Rita Wilson, and Rosie O’Donnell introduce her onstage.

It’s been 29 years since the ladies shared the screen in Lesli Linka Glatter’s feminist coming-of-age movie – set in 1970 and 1995 – which was penned by Pretty Little Liars creator I. Marlene King.

The $37.5M-grossing flick also featured Cloris Leachman, Devon Sawa, Janeane Garofalo, Hank Azaria, Bonnie Hunt, Brendan Fraser, and Demi’s daughter Rumer Willis.

‘Now and Then was more than just a film to me, it was an adventure,’ the 62-year-ol Brat Packer said onstage the Four Seasons H๏τel.

‘It was a sweet story about friendship, resilience and navigating the ups and downs of life together. And here we are, f***ing 30 years later, still standing side by side. I love you guys and I thank you.’

Demi continued: ‘Look, we’ve shared so much of our past and there’s still more to come. With that thought, there must be someone out here who’s thinking, shouldn’t we do a remake or do a sequel of Now and Then, like Now and Again? Talk to me after.’

Moore (born Guynes) shared the role of sci-fi author Samantha Albertson with then 12-year-old Gaby Hoffmann.

Melanie shared the role of successful actress Tina ‘Teeny’ Tercell with Thora Birch

Rosie shared the role of obstetrician Roberta Martin with then 15-year-old Christina Ricci.

Rita shared the role of married mother-to-be Chrissy DeWitt with then 15-year-old Ashleigh Aston Moore who sadly died, at age 26, from an accidental drug overdose in 2007.

‘We were all honored that she asked us to be a part of that film,’ O’Donnell said onstage.

‘A story about women produced by women, written by a woman, directed by a woman, and starring primarily women, a rare thing in 1995 and a true gift.’

Wilson reminisced: ‘Back then, [Demi] shocked the world, appearing naked and seven months pregnant on the cover of Vanity Fair. Now, celebrities walk the red carpet in less coverage than she was wearing.’

‘And now she’s experiencing a renaissance,’ Griffith noted.
