This Hollywood star looked completely unrecognisable on the set of their latest project.
The actor was spotted filming in downtown Los Angeles on Wednesday and was seen puffing away on a cigar as he got into character.
The star, who has appeared in Pride and Prejudice, The Night Manager and White Lotus was dressed as the iconic director Alfred Hitchcock as he ran scenes alongside Olivia Williams.
He looked worlds away from his usual sleek self as he sported a fat suit a fake nose and chin and a bald cap to take on the famous silver screen director for Ryan Murphy’s latest series of Monster.
The About Time actor was dressed in a grey suit with high-waisted trousers and a short tie and he clutched a cigar.
But despite starring in the series, which will be set in the 1950s, the actor still stopped to take some snaps on his phone in between takes.

Later on the actor was spotted chatting to his co-star Olivia, who plays Hitchcock’s wife Alma Reville, in the back of a car.
Tom and Olivia will star alongside Charlie Hunnam and Laurie Metcalfe in the third season of Ryan Murphy’s Monsters.
The series, called The Original Monster, will follow American murderer and grave robber Ed Gein, played by Charlie.
Lady Bird’s Laurie will play Gein’s mother who was a volatile religious fanatic and the series will show their strained and obsessive relationship.
Tom and Olivia will star as Hitchcock and his wife Alma and the show will explore how Gein served as the inspiration for Hitchcock’s character Norman Bates in the classic film Psycho.
The serial killer, also known as The Butcher of Plainfield, became famous in the 1950s after police discovered that not only was he murdering people in his home city of Wisconsin but he had also dug up graves from a nearby cemetery.
The public were shocked after it was revealed he had been inspired by pulp magazines featuring stories of cannibalism and Nazi atrocities to make various household items, clothes and keepsakes out of his victims remains.
When police eventually arrested him after a ten-year killing spree, they found a bin made of human skin, human skin covering several chair seats, bowls made from human skulls, a corset made from a female torso and leggings made from human leg skin.

Ryan’s Murphy’s series will be called The Original Monster and will follow American murderer and grave robber Ed Gein who inspired Hitchcock’s serial killer in Psycho
Gein’s life has inspired a number of horror characters including Norman Bates from Hitchcock’s classic film Psycho, Leatherface in the Texas Chainsaw Mᴀssacre and Buffalo Bill in the Silence of the Lambs.
The stomach-churning third series follows the controversy of Ryan’s previous instalments which included Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story which chronicled the shocking murders of 17 young men and boys at the hands of the Milwaukee killer between 1978 and 1991.
Season one, which starred Evan Peters and Niecy Nash-Betts, scored record ratings and was critically-acclaimed but faced backlash by families of the victims.
The sister of Dahmer victim Errol Lindsey, Rita Isbell, speaking with Insider Sunday, said that Netflix never reached out to her about the series, calling it harsh and careless.
‘I feel like Netflix should’ve asked if we mind or how we felt about making it,’ she said. ‘They didn’t ask me anything. They just did it. But I’m not money hungry, and that’s what this show is about, Netflix trying to get paid.’
The second season, told the chilling tale of the Beverly Hills brothers – and the sinister motives behind the murders of their parents, Jose and Kitty Menendez, who were sH๏τ ᴅᴇᴀᴅ in their $5 million mansion in 1989.
Tom was also spotted walking around set dressed in his suit while other actors donned 1950s outfits in downtown LA

The series will be called The Original Monster and will follow American murderer and grave robber Ed Gein who collected twisted mementos from his victims and will be played by The Gentleman star Charlie Hunnam
The serial killer, also known as The Butcher of Plainfield, became famous in the 1950s after police discovered that not only was he killing people in his home city of Wisconsin but he had also dug up graves from a nearby cemetery
But the family of the two brothers slammed the show calling it a ‘phobic, gross, anachronistic, serial episodic nightmare’ that neglects recent revelations the family claims would exonerate the brothers.

Erik’s wife, Tammi Menendez took to X to write: ‘The character ᴀssᴀssination of Erik and Lyle, under the guise of a “storytelling narrative,” is repulsive.
We know what went on in their home and the unimaginably turbulent lives they have endured.’
Ryan chose Gein as the subject of the most recent instalment of his show because he wanted to look at what inspired later serial killers.
He told Collider: ‘After we did Menendez, Ian and I were talking about it, and we were interested in this idea of, “Where and how did this all start?”.
‘Based on our research, the very first one who became a celebrity at that level was Ed, who was an instant crazy celebrity from the moment he was arrested.

Ryan previously revealed that they had started filming on Halloween and Charlie Hunnam was spotted in costume filming on Thursday looking strikingly different from his usual and distinctive facial hair (pictured in Sons of Anarchy)
‘Nobody had ever heard of anything like that. Then we found out – he was motivated, obviously – but he was schizophrenic. How he became what he became was a very interesting story.;
The creator then revealed that they had started filming on Halloween and Charlie Hunnam was spotted filming on Thursday.
The star appeared strikingly different from his usual and distinctive facial hair, as he sported a comb over hairstyle reminiscent of the infamous killer’s look.
While portraying the murderer, Hunnam was seen chatting with a police officer on set in his 1950s inspired garb.
