Nicole Kidman likes chicken nuggets and warehouse raves.
The Babygirl star appeared on the red carpet of GQ’s Men of the Year Awards on Tuesday, November 19, where she spoke with comedian and reporter Amelia Dimoldenberg. Their zany interview started with Kidman’s love for chicken nuggets and ended with her teaching Dimoldenberg the Australian word for “goodbye” (the word is “goodbye”).
Dimoldenberg, 30, also asked whether Kidman is a party person.
“I’m a small party person,” responded Kidman, 57. “But I do like a rave.”
“Like a warehouse rave?” Dimoldenberg asked, and Kidman confirmed.
When Dimoldenberg pointed out a warehouse rave is pretty much the opposite of a “small party,” Kidman cheekily added she’s a person of extremes — and she’s into techno.
The two — whose unlikely pairing on the red carpet made waves among fans of each — also talked Babygirl. The movie is an erotic thriller that follows Kidman, a CEO, and her romantic pursuit of a much younger intern, played by Harris Dickinson.
It will premiere in the United States on Christmas Day, and Kidman told Dimoldenberg that it’s a great date movie.
“I don’t even know if raunchy is the right word. It’s more like, erotic, sensual,” she said. “So quite good for a date.”
Kidman and Dickinson have both been open about shooting some of the film’s more erotic scenes, with Kidman telling Variety that she found “the whole thing” difficult.

“Actually doing it justice and trying to be open and raw and available each day in every which way to explore,” she continued. “Because the nature of that film, it was either going to be completely vulnerable and exposed, or you were going to be protected, and then the thing wouldn’t connect. When I met with [director Halina Reijn], and we talked through it, I was just like, ‘Just give us a safe space,’ and then, ‘Please don’t make me look like a fool.’”

Dickinson added that the pair worked with an intimacy coordinator to set their boundaries beforehand.
“The intimacy coordinator is saying, ‘What are you comfortable with, what do you want as a director, what are you comfortable doing from that vision?” he said. “They’re facilitating that and doing it very delicately without interrupting the actual scene.”
That’s why Kidman said on the red carpet that Babygirl was made for fans to enjoy on dates. And if movies aren’t your thing, she might suggest a warehouse rave instead.
